Timecard X ist the easy time tracker for OSX The time tracker will be started via the menubar icon. With the icon you have your current work time and the status of the tracking at a glance. Furthermore you can add a special work label the every tracking. Timecard X syncs via iCloud with Timecard i. So you have your overview on all your devices and you can start the tracking on one device and end or pause it on another. (Timecard i for iOS is available in the iOS AppStore) Pausefunction: You can easily pause the timerecording and record your workbreak as well - Worklabels: You can choose a specific worklabel for every recording so that you can manage more than one work at once. - Manual Add: Forget one complete day? No probleme just add it manually! - Filters: You can apply filters to get exactly the dates you want to see. - Complete Overview: You can see your entries on the overview page. Here you see the time of work start and work end, the total worktime , the duration of the break and you can save notes for every entry. You can edit them and delete them. -Export Data: You can export your data as PDF or CSV file. We from APPenzeller hope you will like the app. If you find any mistakes in the localization just send us a e-mail. We‘re doing all we can to make a good app for you!
All my data is missing
I just opened up timecard app and all my data is gone!!!! I have used it for years and everything is gone including the current bill, that I was going to send today. What happened, I tried to get the app from the back up on my computer and it was blank also. Help
I love this app!
I hope that the developer continues to develop this really useful app and add a field for “hourly pay rate”. Just fantastic.
Update from 2 star review
I needed a basic timer, w/pause feature, to track my day so I can easily cal the comp time owed me. I didn’t need a program to track time per project. I was confused about the time card feature where it will post your total times - Developer was very responsive to my concern, (made a little mini video for me) got me squared away and now all I have to remember to do is remember to pause and stop at the end of the work day. But if you forget to clock in/out on time, but remember when you started or finished your day, you can go back and adjust in the Time Card window. This turned out to be exactly what I had been looking for. Simple, clean, sits on the bar, adjustable times, exportable. Thanks APPenzeller.
Useful but buggy
Pros: - Simple start / stop / pause - Can easily edit past timecard entries (useful when you mess up) - Can export your data in CSV (and also PDF) Cons: - iCloud sync not working for me - Closing the app and re-opening it erases timecard history - iPhone app could use some color (it’s black and white as the picture shows… reminds me of Office Space). If the sync actually worked and the OS X app didn’t erase my timecard entries after a restart, I would give this app a 5.
Kinda buggy (still)
I have been using this since 1.0 and found several issues which have been steadily getting fixed. :-) The UI is simple and clean. You can kind of edit your time entries to the second, which is nice if you're OCD like I am. :-P It would be nice to have a quick way to switch tasks - I don't see one now, so I have to stop one, and then start a new one. "Worklable" seems to be a typo in the dialog that opens up to edit/export time entries. "Pause Time" seems buggy still - if you decrease it from 00:00:00, it goes to 23:59:59, which makes it angry. If you increment it, it doesn't remove time from the total and eventually freaks out again. Looking forward to version 1.2 now and I still haven't tried the mobile version - maybe it's better?
Does exactly as promised!
I work from home and this makes keeping track of work time so much easier. Definitely worth it for hourly at-home workers.
