Great App - Wish it imported better
I love this storyplanning app! I just wish it imported properly into Final Draft.
An Outliner That's Worth It
To test the software, I planned out a story that's been on the backburner for at least two years. It was a surprisingly easy process, because StoryPlanner has just about everything you need to get the gist of the most important elements of a story. It also has a notes section, but keep in mind that this application is best used as a planner that you then translate to another application. For novels with little worldbuilding as they're set in our world, or don't have many small details, this is perfect! My current project I'm testing StoryPlanner with may actually fit entirely within it. For Fantasy, however, this is a preliminary stage of creation, to then be taken to Scrivener, or Ulysses, or whatever it is that you use to hold your world. And that's okay! StoryPlanner knows it's goal, and fulfills it with finesse in a nice, well-focused simplicity. It doesn't sell itself as a one-stop-shop, nor is it priced that way. I didn't have to look up how to use anything and I can jump right into the bare bones of a project before it escapes me. I can't even think of any feature it needs right now. Maybe the ability to rename some of the "sections" to a element card (Character, Locations, etc)? Or collapse individual ones without having to go to Settings and make the section disappear for all cards (Ex: Protagonist may have Inner Goal, but for an extra I would want their Inner Goal section collapsed/hidden so it's not just left empty on their card). This is definitely worth the $10.
Great Organizational Tool
I've never been able to keep track of my thoughts and ideas so well, since using this app. It's a great tool for someone like myself. I get distracted easily and forget important details, so being able to easily reference material I've put down in an easy-to-use format, is really nice. I actually finished the first draft of my first full-length screenplay, after using StoryPlanner to help me organize my ideas and keep me on track. I've been writing for years. I'd definely recommend this app for any aspiring writer. For me, this app is my breakthrough gateway to success!
Great Software for Writers
It has almost everything when writing my screenplays. The best part is tracking characters, places, plots, scenes and other important parts of my script.
Story Planner
This is a very well made and intuitive tool for creating an outline and a road map for your story. I love it!!!!
I like it
The ui is simple and easy to understand, it i like the flexibility of it the tag systems and the little information bits because it helps to narrow down what you need. I just think the synching between mac and ios to be smoother since it creates duplicates when going between.
Can't Add Photos on MacOS
Can't access drives or drag and drop to add photos on MacOS. Can only pull in photos stored in icloud for some odd reason. Please update
