This application is very good, especially considering all of the functionality it provides for free. I am on the MacOS Catalina Beta, and the app still performed well. My biggest criticism is that switching to dark mode in the OS preferences makes the main PDFelement's main toolbar a bit difficult to read. Otherwise, I think this is a good app!

When I searched “How to edit PDF” via a popular search site, this app was the top search result. I didn’t catch that WONDERSHARE was the parent company, otherwise, I would have immediately ignored the search result and kept looking. Instead, I checked the reviews (decent, but suspect), installed the application, and then proceeded to edit a PDF. After about 20 minutes, and struggling with stupid things like formatting getting lost and weird kerning issues between letters and punctuation, I went to Save the doc. And there was it, a nag for nearly 60 bucks to save the PDF without a watermark. UGH. I have no clue what the output would have been because I just closed the app in frustration and dug up the original Word document (it ended up taking less time than editing the PDF I exported, which was the reason for downloading this app…) I decided to see check those reviews again, and quickly realized that the 5 stars reviews were mostly done by users with just ONE single review. Interesting. Most review sites would have probably “flagged” these as spam, but whatever. It was then that I caught it was a Wondershare application. I’ve had experience with this company in the past (outside of the App Store) and it was an absolutely terrible experience. If you have any issue(s) with the application (and don’t be surprised if you do), the support team will respond with a “Oh, this is the first time we’ve heard of this” and then request you update to the latest version. In the past, I made a foolish mistake of paying for their software, and when I realized it wouldn’t work, I spent a month (literally) dealing with their support team. I honestly don’t remember if they refunded me or not (I ended up just writing off everything about the application, the company, etc) and vowed to warn any one willing to listen to stay away from this company and their software.
