Great idea but it doesn’t work

I have used Outlook for years and was looking for more organizational features. This program has all those organizing features that I was looking for but I cannot get it to work. They have a great idea but it isn’t well developed in its current state. I love how projects and sub-projects can be set up and the contexts features. The incorporation of a mind map import is a great feature. However, I could not find any other files that it would import. I can not complete a repeating task without it saying that I completing all future tasks. There are so many ways of doing the same command that the graphics are cluttered. The calendar view doesn’t show just the tasks for the day. It has features to review the tasks but you aren’t able to change any of the settings to get a meaningful review (review the day, month or year). Customer support has never replied to my questions. I feel like I need to download the program and start over because there are so many errors, no one could be selling it and surviving. This is not worth the frustration of a free program no less an expensive app.

Update after Sync was fixed.

UPDATE: After a little looking on their part, Taskfabric has fixed the sync problem and now all apps are syncing. I’ve not gone into the apps too far just yet as the sync held me up, but what I’ve seen so far looks good. I was asked to look at Taskfabric the new Team version and I did, but I think I’ll be sticking with Organize:Pro unless I get a free copy. I’m invested in this system, so I’m going to make it work for me and from what I see so far, it’s going to do a good job. I’ll return after some time, maybe next version, and make another review with a more detailed assessment. I have every version of this app, Mac, Windows and iOS and none of them will sync. I’ve tried making three different accounts in case there was a problem, no go. I’ve deleted all of them and started over with fresh data, nothing, won’t sync. The help I got was an email saying that they were doing some server upgrades and a new version for iOS was coming out and to upgrade to it. Well there shouldn’t be a problem with the Mac and Windows version syncing if the iOS had a problem, but there’s no new version and nothing I try will get this app and it’s companions to sync. So I’ve spent well over $100 for a system that doesn’t work, useless. Since this was an established system, I thought I’d be safe with my investment, guess I was wrong. If you guys are listening, I NEED SOME HELP WITH MY SYNC PLEASE. Oh, I forgot to tell you that when I try to fill out a support form on their website, it’s gets to where you fill in your details and then crashes, no matter what platform I’m using. So I’m thinking Taskfrabric needs to check their servers, it seems they are having some challenges and it’s going to hurt them in the long run if they can’t provide a solid platform.

Really Cool / Minor Bugs

Downloaded this app to try to organize some of my work related activities. At first the GUI is not very intuitive but once I started clicking around and making use of the projects I figured most of the basic features out pretty quickly. It is a very useful tool / concept for organizing projects and tasks. I really like the ability to set security levels to projects with different passwords - and it is very slick in that when you add a security level to a line item that item is invisible until you enter the password for it’s security level (numbered 0 to 5 / Unclassified to Top Secret) So far the only major problem I’ve had with it is everytime I click out of the app into something else, like Mail, or Firefox and then come back to it the keyboard will be locked up or frozen. I will still be able to select items with the trackpad but it will not let me edit any entries or type in any of the text entering fields. The only way I’ve been able to remedy this bug is to close the app entirely and reopen it from the launchpad. Luckily the app saves everything automatically so even though this is a relatively quick thing to do, when you have to close and reopen it several times within several minutes it gets pretty annoying. Some reviews below indicate there are problems syncing it to an iOs device - but I haven’t tried this feature yet. I’m not sure what the difference is between organize pro and taskfabric 2 is. The price difference is only 10$ - so if you’re considering this app you might be just as well off to go with taskfabric 2 - no idea if it has any issues though. Pagico may also be a better option as it is about the same price and with less bugs.

It's a decent product...

I had purchased this so that I would have a pretty decent time management tool for tracking all of my various activities between customers, school, and my other activities. I would consider giving this product more than 3 stars if they customer support team actually responded to things. They encourage users to submit feedback for areas that require improvement, but over the last few months I haven't received anything from them. I've also not received answers to questions posed about the product. At any rate, we shall see if these guys will improvde on things at all. The syncing between all of the devices is on target - which is a huge plus. I may transition back over to Pagico because those guys are EXCELLENT in their level of responsiveness and always rolling out updates to make the product better.

From Windows to Mac

Switched from Windows to Mac. Used Organize since the beginning on Windows 7 and 8 and really fell for it! To find the same tool on a Mac makes it so much easier for me to switch. Thanks guys!
