Sam Houston EC received its charter May 16, 1939, and has been providing electricity to East Texas ever since. The Cooperative was founded by a handful of farmers and rural residents who dreamed of bringing “power to the people.” In the early 1940s, there were just over 600 Co-op members. Today, Sam Houston EC serves 55,000 members and 74,000 meters across parts of 10 counties. mySamHouston provides Sam Houston Electric Cooperative members account management at their fingertips. Members can view their usage and billing, manage payments, notify customer service of account and service issues and receive special messaging from SHEC. Additional Features: Bill & Pay - Quickly view your current account balance and due date, manage recurring payments and modify payment methods. You can also view bill history including PDF versions of paper bills directly on your mobile device. Make a payment now or schedule it for a future date. My Usage - View energy usage graphs to identify high usage trends. Navigate graphs quickly using an intuitive gesture based interface. Contact Us - Easily contact Sam Houston Electric Cooperative by email or phone. You can also submit one of the many predefined messages, with the ability to include pictures and GPS coordinates. Service Status - Displays service interruption and outage information. You can also report an outage directly to your service provider. Map - Displays facility and payment dropbox locations on a map interface.

I really like this app. It makes paying my bill simple and I can check my usage quickly.

App really helps to monitor your useage and stay on top of your electric bill. Really like the ability to pay bill right from my phone. Glad you included a fingerprint login feature as well. A minor complaint is when swiping usage charts from one time period to the last is the usage scales change making A/B comparisons difficult. Would be nice to compare apples to apples.

The app is great. However, I’m unable to check my usage lately because there is no information shown.

Don’t bother. They send you a temporary password & it locks you out of your account. Waste of time & effort to a company that has no customer service to begin with
