Very useful mind mapping app
MiMind is an extremely useful and affordable mind mapping app. It's very flexible and intuitive, and you can't beat the price compared with other mind mapping apps. The only drawback is that it is designed for the iPad, so using it on MacOS can be frustrating depending on what you are trying to do. I've had struggles selecting text and changing map themes. Other than these minor annoyances, it's a good app for what it's designed for.

I have this installed on an iPad and like it. I saw that it's available for the MacBook Air M1 and installed it. It's buggy and unreliable on my MacBook Air. A new mind map seems okay when it's created. But if I go to it later, it's unreadable and blurred and the app freezes, making it impossible to close the app without forcing it to quit via keyboard shortcuts, because it will not respond to anythng else.

I really like this app. Easy to put together a quick chart and have it layed out professionally in a snap. The main drawback is that this looks like it was designed as an iOS app and ported to macOS without converting menus to native macOS menus, trackpad suppot is very weak, keyboard navigation is clumsy in text edit areas. No help tags to show what the various controls do. That being said, I'm still very happy to have purchased the full version. Amazing value for the price. ALSO be careful where you export items. Always use a dedicated folder to export into. I saved into Documents and it seemed to delete everything in that folder! I had a Time-machine backup and it seemed like the files all came back after restarting the Finder so no damage done, but I was a bit worried.

This app could've been good, but so much of it still feels like I'm a beta tester. And because I paid money for it, I can't give a good review for beta level app service. The text was only recently fixed so that you can write a complete sentence without extreme app caused spelling errors, but it's still bad that I have to click a billion times to write within a node. The way it syncs between multiple devices is horrible and slow. They interface isn't intuitive or at a level with literally any other apps. For example, I can't click and drag files/folders, which is a standard function. Even if I want to move files/folders by manually selecting the move location, the app doesn't recognize all of my folders for me to be able to make a selection. I really wanted to give this 5 stars because I like how simple the app looks, but it's definitely a 2 at the moment. I hope it improves, but for now I just want a refund.

After posting my initial review 2 weeks ago, which stated I would have given it 5 stars were it not for some frustrating bugs regarding erroneous spaces in all content I wrote within the app, the developers responded and released a new version which fixed the issues I was experiencing. Very pleased with this application and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cross-platform, pay-once solution for mind mapping software. Thank you!

Using this type of tool is new for me. I opted to go with MiMind for two primary reasons: 1. Cross platform, so I can transfer my maps between devices and friends 2. One time buy-it-now price, rather than subscription model The most frustrating thing about this (on my Mac at least, haven't had the opportunity to test on a windows device just yet) is that when I'm typing in the app I get random extra spaces all over the place. To have a neatly formatted note after I need to go back and delete them all one by one. Rather frustrating or I would give 5 stars.

I have tried many of the mind map programs available on the Mac. I like this one the best. I like the way I can zoom in and out. It has great cut and paste functionality. The best feature is that you can select from many different structures for your mind map. You can use wiggly lines or you can use straight lines like an org chart. You can make it grow vertically or horizontally. It is worth the price for sure.
