If you choose to purchase a subscription, $4.99 will be charged to your iTunes account,  your account will be charged within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. If there is a free trial offer, you will be subscribed immediately, with the trial period free. You will automatically be charged the $4.99 when the free trial is over, you will not be prompted, unless you cancel your subscription more than 24-hours before the trial period is over.
