You can choose to repeat individual scenes or the whole play. With line learner you can record your script, and share it with others, who can record their lines, and share them back, giving you the ability to rehearse together even when apart. Paid, but didn’t get linelearner app
I paid the extra to get the full version, but it just allowed me to put more lines into the line learner lite app, so I have to pay again for the full app with characters etc? Update: I figured it out. The line learnerlitw app appears to run with the full functionality now that I found out how to get to it, but deleting lines is nearly impossible. I found myself just recording the fastest blip of silence I could instead of trying to delete.

The app is infuriating when I try to delete a line or a scene- it doesn’t register my swipe left to delete. I close the app, reopen, and nothing happens. I was able to delete once, in the past, but I don’t know what allowed me to do it. Just lucky I guess. There are a lot of helpful features that are hard to figure out at first, but can be really useful when you get it down.

United StatesA critical tool for learning lines
I have been using LL for several shows, and as a lead actor, it is critical that I get my lines down fast and solid. I even bought the companion app ScriptRecorder to record the table read, and tell the cast to buy LIneLearner pro so they can get started too. The price for the excellent functionality is terrific. This can get you going even if you don’t have a partner to record other lines. I can’t think of what is missing.

I think the main thing this app does is give you convenience. Obviously you can record you self with the app voice recorder but this just makes it easier. I think 4 bucks ain't bad for an app that helps make things easier.
United StatesGreat app...ugly, primitive UI
Functionally, this is awesome. There isn’t another app (that I can find) like this. It’s not entirely intuitive but thumbs up to the developer for including concise instructions. Once explained, it was pretty easy to setup with only a little confusion. It would be helpful if I could Scrub through the lines. With time markers. I have a lot of monologues and need to rewind as I go along. I will have to just re-record my lines in installments to achieve this. The tortoise and hair thing is fairly useless for me. And there’s no way to tell what the normal speed is once you move it. And the app needs an ability to skip back and forth between lines. The Scene Headers need to respond to touch. It took me some time to figure out the Scene was engaged and ready for me to record. But because the app did nothing when I tapped it, I wasted time trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. Thought that maybe the app had frozen... The graphics, colors, font and layout are very unattractive. It’s cluttered. When I opt to see the scene index, the app can’t even display the full text. It would be nice to have a couple different avatars or at least the ability to choose different colors for each character. I’ve tapped the wrong character a few times when recording. Their names are so small in the font, it be even easier to identify them also by their own assigned color. Because of the extra steps caused by this app’s limitations, I have to take. I really could just use one of the more robust recording apps that offers file organization to achieve the same. The Character feature really is what sets the app apart the most from others, but at the end of the day that feature isn’t entirely essential. Not that I don’t appreciate it, because I do! But the really essentially parts of this app are what really need some extra attention and improvement. But, it is a good app. A good start, for sure!
