AMAZING for medical students!!
I have been looking for a good note taking app to help study for clinical nutrition therapy. Markdown editors and other word processors just were not working for me. I finally found this app, new, young, hidden, innovative, and basically free. Top features: 1. Flashcard word-topic associations to help enhance learning. 2. Highly Customizable formatting styles. 3. Basic MindMap 4. Responsive developer The so called “brain like" function works like this: Write a word and write the definition, statistic, diagnosis criteria, or whatever you want underneath it. Select the text, right click, and "turn to card." This creates like a flashcard. You can add a tag to organize them. Then, when writing you type “@“ and can link the card by inserting whatever the first thing written is. The linked card in the text will be underlined and clicking it will show the card. For example, I can write: “Hypertension Diagnosis criteria XYZ blood pressure” I click to turn that into a card. Then when I can write “Critical to screen for @hypertension.” I can select the hypertension card, now when I click on that word it shows me what the diagnosis criteria is. I am absolutely thrilled about this feature, especially useful for like medical school or other healthcare field. You can create a card of all the different disease states, screenings, lab values, medical procedures…. As your education advances & references that foundational information, you can continue to link back to those terms so you continue to remember them. The organization of notes is fairly typical and straight forward. The word processing is simple but customizable in an important way. The different formatting styles are: Headings 1,2,3, number list, bullet list, Todo list, quote, and text. You can customize each style individually for font type, color, size, alignment, bold, etc. You can also add a border style. There are so many options and the ability to individually customize each formatting style ensures that whatever special look or emphasis you need, you can probably find a way to make it work. An absolutely HUGE win is when you PDF print, it actually shows the colors of your headings. Some other popular note apps do not do that. You can also paste pictures in the text and resize them. There is also a mind map feature. It is not quite as customizable, but you can add tags or color code different bubbles. I haven’t explored this one as much because I do not utilize mind maps often. But it is awesome the feature is included. There are plenty of other features that I did not mention. Submit any feedback or comment, the developer is fairly quick to respond. I mentioned a small issue and they included a fix in the next update. The developer has been adding amazing features, like more text-styles and spell check!! So this app continues to be improved. Basically every feature is free, but there is a yearly premium plan of 20.99$ as of this writing. I went ahead & bought it to support the developers & the app because of its amazing potential and features so far. A premium feature is exporting the document as a PDF. This is really cool, you can export the single article or you can export the entire “project” (or folder). What is extremely cool is you can include a cover page, and it even generates a table of contents. A nice competition to MS Word in that reguard. In conclusion, if you are a college student, BUY THIS APP! Support the developers so they can continue to make amazing improvements. The card-like feature is incredible for studying or even story writing. I am very excited to support this app & continue to see what amazing things they will bring.

This app has the potential to be the BEST writing and notetaking app on the market. It's layout is clean and simplifies what Notion does to an incredible degree. But...it doesn't save my work. I've lost two whole pieces I spent hours writing becuase it doesn't save. That's an unforgiveable sin.

Honestly, i want to preface what i am about to say with the hope you realize that you are truly on to something BIG here. This application is in desparate need of improvements because it is so clearly a potential game changer if it could just be enhanced to the level of performance it so obviously should be functioning at. The editing features are kind of a nightmare as it's practically impossible to edit just one bit of text without it re-formatting the entire page even if you only select a portion of text i found 8/10 times it would just change the whole body of txt. Which is why the undo/redo buttons need fixing because they don't even serve their intended purpose honestly if something changed and i wanted to simply revert to the previous it wouldn't even acknowledge what the format was before i changed it. Either doing nothing at all when hitting undo or literally undoing all of my work to its original form and the same with redo. This goes on and on with almost every feature which is why IT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. This app can really be a gamechanger and top the charts if you could just bring it up to the level it's obviously capable of functioning at. Keep at it hope to see updates in the future

Roam will beat this because it has unlinked references that pulls anything without me having to tag. I also noticed there is no extension info or editor. Maybe more on how to use it would be perfect. Some suggestions to make this a little app- Incorporate Nebo's handwriting to text skill- meaning you can handwrite and it will turn it into text. And considered a thing where it automatically makes mind maps for you

I love this. One thing I was having an issue with Roam was that I couldn't have footnotes or sections within sections. Unfortunately- unless I've missed it- it doesn't seem like this has the automatic bidirectional linking Roam has. I would use it if it did- it's so useful to have things atuomatically show up with another thing. Also a hover feature that reveals a whole note would be fantastic
