The InfoRapid KnowledgeBase Builder is an excellent tool for Knowledge Management. You can save text documents and web pages with all formattings and links in your knowledge base and perform a full text search in it. Since every document is attached as a text note to a mindmap item, you can organize them perfectly in a large mindmap. This mindmap is browsable, so you will never lose perspective even with thousands of documents. All items are stored in a reliable local SQLite database. The app includes many other outstanding features such as the automatic creation of mindmaps from text documents, the import of Wikipedia articles into your mindmap and much more. You can even export your knowledge base as a formatted html document. And that's not all. The InfoRapid KnowledgeBase Builder is also a famous flowcharting tool. You can either create your flowcharts manually or generate them automatically from pseudo code. And there are a thousand more things you can do with the app.

I really gave this app a chance, but it was very disappointing. 1. Images get stretched and blurry. 2. You can't move anything; everything overlaps, and horizontal words get blurry if you zoom out. 3. Almost 19 layout options, but they are all awkward, and connections end up behind others in the wrong place. 4. You cant import maps from other apps. 5. Whatever you create in this app will come out blurry when exported. I love mind maps, they help me organize ideas and understand complicated concepts, but this app frustrates me. Btw... after 9 years of developing the app, you can't make a Manual or a Guide?, where people can search for answers.

Really tried to enjoy this app and use it. Extremely clunky, un-intuitive, and just straight hot garbage. It's sad, because all the other Mind Mappers out there are amazing but they're all on this super garbage subscription model because people are extremely greedy. Gone are the days of pay once for a good app and pay for the updates, instead it's all subscription based to be a serious leech on the market place.

I've tried a variety of mind-mapping applications over the years, and nothing on the market now compares to KnowledgeBase Builder. This one-of-a-kind program appeals to me for a variety of reasons. The user interface has a modest learning curve, but an introductory animation helps you become familiar with it quickly. Once you've mastered the UI, mapping becomes intuitive. The freedom to move the nodes enables one to group related concepts and better grasp the data. The nodes may be any color, and the lines that join them can be filled with additional information. Also, exploring the nodes in a 3D space is innovative and makes it easy to cross-connect ideas. The text analysis engine, which automatically detects and highlights keywords inside a text block, is another innovative function. These keywords are turned into nodes that include excerpts from the text block. You can automatically map articles or large portions of text with one click, a feature other expensive applications lack. The program may result in enormous productivity benefits with a few minor improvements. Among these suggestions is the option to hide nodes and their children or develop a wireframe view to improve application responsiveness. Mapping hundreds of nodes slows down the software. Although the program never crashes, I would like it to be quick and responsive when mapping hundreds of nodes. Another area for improvement is the text analysis engine. Although the engine does a great job of detecting keywords, it could improve what words it selects to highlight. Some terms that get highlighted are stop-words or irrelevant, resulting in excessive node population. This analysis feature is convenient and very helpful and could become a top-selling feature once the algorithm is more finely tuned. Overall, KnowledgeBase Builder is a great software to help anyone map their notes, etc. I highly recommend this software for its wide range of features and ability to analyze and organize information. KnowledgeBase Builder is a powerful tool for graphing and producing flowcharts and other visual aids, making it an excellent choice for amassing and arranging one's research. I highly recommend it. The software is straightforward in its operation and navigation and is perfect for undergraduate and graduate school research. Cons: Super obtuse. Hot keys didn't seem to work. Very tedious being unable to select multiple items to change color and font size. Can't modify positions in 3D space, seems more like a gimick than actually functionally useful. Can't move the map around on the 2D. A lot of overlap of items. Stretches images even though I'm 100% certain I got the measurements right. Pros: Price is not bad. The automatic map layout function works well. I guess if you don't mind tedium and can get past frustrations due to lack of ease of use, it could be good.

I have spent lots of time creating mind maps to give visual talks to my employees. I can't figure out how to copy and paste a map. When I put it on another computer and try to enlarge the map it becomes blurry not enought resoution or something. It shouldn't be this hard. There is no instructions I havent found anyone on youtube that has that info. On the otherhand the mind maps that I have made are really magnificent. If I could solve this situation I would be glad to give the highest recommendation.

This app could potentially be awesome except like another user as noted it lacks basic key based shortcut functions (e.g. no map zoom with / - key or mouse / track pad gestures). Another oddly missing function is the ability to copy and paste map nodes and a map navigation window. Regret purchasing this app, with these added features and proven support it would be a very valuable app.
