InstaCal is the missing menu bar calendar macOS deserves. InstaCal is an affordable, yet powerful calendar app that puts all your events right at your fingertips, always available in your Mac's menu bar. InstaCal is quick and convenient, and can be opened at any time with a configurable keyboard shortcut. From there you can view your calendar events, make changes, invite friends or even add new events. You can also see your Reminders list, and add new reminders as well as view and edit existing ones. You can use any of the calendars added to your Mac (those available in the Calendar app) as well as adding unlimited accounts from: - Google Calendar (view, respond to invitations, create new events and edit existing events) - Office 365 (view and respond to invitations) - Outlook (view and respond to invitations) InstaCal also includes: - Customizable calendar colors and overall appearance - Useful menu bar options (to replace the system date) - Touch Bar support - Support for Dark Mode If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to [email protected]. We are always working to improve our apps and add useful features requested by our customers!
Conceptually good, lacks a ton of polish
This app hasn't been updated in a while and it shows once you start using it.
No iCloud sync...
I was hoping this would work as a substitute for Fantastical 1.0, but it only syncs calendars that are 'On My Mac'. Even though you can add Google and other cloud-based accounts, there is no option available to add iCloud based calendars. This one feature would make a huge difference for me. It does everything else I need, but will not show the iCloud calendars I use every day.
Crashes frequently and doesn't sync my calendars
I would've prefered to avoid leaving an negative review, but when I tried to use it, I got a, "you need an invitation to join this private Community" Anyway, our company switched to Microsoft 365 and the calendars are only viewable online or with Outlook. I was hoping this app would be a work around. Unfortunately it's not. I get an error when I try to sync my calendars except for one. The app also crashes anytime I try to change the color of more than one calendar at a time. The last issue si the menubar display. It doesn't change color if the menubar turns black so the app basically disappears. It would also be nice if you could have time as well as date appear. I can only hope that Dato or Calendar 366 get Microsoft 365 support.
Dark Mode Bug
I would give this app 5 stars, but there is a bug when using MacOS dark mode. The Today and month navigation buttons do not display properly. There doesn't appear to be a way to contact support for this application.
Use it all the time!
This is such a handy app. The only thing I wish is that it would stay where I put it on the menu br. I like it on the right, but every time the computer restarts it moves all the way to the left. I have. lot of menu items so it is often hidden on the left side.
Works great
I enjoy this more than the full fledged calendars available bucause it's instantly available and syncs with the other calendars.
doesn't work
White screen when trying to redirect to organization's login when adding Outlook 365 calendar. No support and links to google plus comunity that hasn't existed in years.
