Alphabetizing is frowned upon???
Familiarizing myself now with this new purchase and find the app will not allow sorting a group my alpha??? And tech support on the developer's website requires logging in but no way to make an account. Also seeking a way to link a record in one group with a record in a different group - there is no type of field that allows this. But isn't linking records the point of a DB?

If you have a need for a very basic database to use mostly on a single device, this is a very nice program. I use it as a recipe book and a way to keep track of some things that need periodic restocking. The app's simplicity works for it in this area because other apps tend to vastly overcomplicate these tasks. Also, if you stick to the MacOS version and don't use the iOS version, there are some useful features that let you sort Databases in a few user-designed presets. If you use both iOS and MacOS versions this option goes away. There are some other functional limitations. The method for syncing between devices is only useful as a periodic backup because you have to sync one iOS device at a time to a computer. If you try to edit a database in multiple locations and use the computer to unify them, you will end up with duplciates. So I use my iPad primarily and occasionally create a new entry on my computer. Also, using an Apple Pencil in fields is hit and miss as the Tap-Hold-To-Insert function will crash the app. The developer has a lot of really cool products and I use all of them, but they also don't seem too involved with them. At least, I've never personally gotten a response to any reports or feedback, so this is only worth a purchase if a limited and simple little database (with some bugs if you try to use it in a complex way) could solve a problem you have. It's likely not going to expand into something bigger and better.

Databases are easy to set-up; however, with recent changes in the software printing no longer works. And most unfortunate, technical support has not been available, except for a small set of published solutuons published for basic common problems.

I never received a registration number, couldn't login without a registration number, unresponsive to emails and support tickets. No version update in a year, but they took my money. I should have known better. I need to get a refund.

I tried to use this to keep records for clients, but there's no real address field (I supposed I can use one of the text field options but it doesn't format the same), there's no way to upload a file (only jpeg), and I'd like to see the ability to select multiple answers in the choice field. Other than that, it really is easy to set up, but I really need something that I can upload documents to and this doesn't cut it.

WhenI learned that Filemaker cost nearly $5OO to upgrade, I discovered iDatabase. It's not Filemaker, but it works great for all the basic information I need (lists, addresses, etcetera). Worth the price and can be up and running in five minutes. Plus for the more exotic stuff, I can use Excel...iDatabase gets and A from me.
