Use ExportNote to continuously save local html or markdown files for your Evernote notes, so that you always have a local copy that you can browse and read. If you’ve carefully curated a tag hierarchy, then you’ll know how important it is that this is preserved. ExportNote does that, replicating your tag hierarchy on disk. Your note content isn’t duplicated if a note is tagged (they use symbolic links), which saves space. The creation and modification dates on the generated files match those of their corresponding notes, so you can search locally using this kind of metadata. Also note properties such as location data are available in the generated html files. Your Evernote tag hierarchy is reflected in the generated Markdown front matter, as are all your other note properties such as the longitude and latitude, if set. Use the generated index web page to browse your html content locally or use the finder. The initial sync may take several hours, but this is a one-time thing, subsequent syncs take seconds. By default the app exports a subset of your notes, however you can use a one-time payment or an annual subscription to unlock the export of all your notes, continuously. ExportNote is in no way associated with nor endorsed by Evernote. Terms of use : https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Works well
I've played with other Evernote exports, and they all disappointed me. Not this one! I'm still getting used to Obisdian, but as far as I can tell, everyting is here. I exported 2969 notes, dating back as far as 2009. For those wondering how to see note creating dates, enable Community Plugins in Obsidian Settings and then search for File Info Panel Settings. This community is impressive!
Wow!
This app works great and it is the only sophisticated way to capture Evernote (version 10.x) backups with a simple mouse click. It is comforting to have an HTML or Markdown backup, including all attachments safely stored on my computer. When I encountered an issue recently (more an operator error than a bug) Damian (developer) immediately answered my email to get me running again and then wrote a app update to prevent a reoccurence in less than 48 hours! Thank you!
Works as intended, and works well
This app has a lot of potential. The developer is quite responsive and has added new features from the initial beta. The markdown feature is a very welcome addition. It's an excellent start.
* Tables in Evernote are now converted to Markdown tables; * Strikethrough text in Evernote is now converted to Markdown strikethrough; * All Evernote note properties such as Longitude and Latitude are now stored in the Markdown front matter, if they are set.
