Buyer Beware...
First of all this is a poor product compared to BCP Pro. It’s unreliable, crashes often, clunky, inaccurate in scanning compared to other products, and frequently looses previously scanned information (just disappears!). Trusting this app for business purposes is extremely risky. Also alarming (and mentioned by another review) is the less than ethical method of easily and accidentally signing up for their overpriced “service”. I’ve been in global IT over 2 decades and have come accords these design practices. It’s very apparent, making accidental purchases is what the developer designed the user interface to do. Apple needs to take these types of design flaws (intentional or not) into consideration when it releases apps as refunds are next to impossible. If you absolutely have to try this product for whatever reason, be very careful navigating the screen or you’ll be stuck with hefty reoccurring bill for this poorly written app. I can’t get my money back, but perhaps I can prevent this from happening to someone else. Cheers
Was good at the beginning but this became a scam!
Bought the pro version which was supposed to be unlimited. Now out of the blue there is a limit on the number of cards you can scan and it is asking for a subscription. STAY AWAY. They will change the conditions on you Ben if you give them money...
Extant
Thanks
Stay away from Free Trial
I misread and got a subscription that took a lot of searching to figure out how to cancel. Set back $9.99. Stay away unless you want to buy.
Pro
Pro has ads? Why are there so many versions? The "Pro" didn't have ads before and is now non different than the "full", other "Pro" or non pro versions.
While worked fine for some time nowadays keeps crashing
Last iOS updates seem to have destroyed the app that used to work properly. Nowadays, after shooting 3-4 business cards on iPhone 6s (iOS 12), keeps on crashing and getting tilt. Did not find proper App Support in App Store.
Trail TRAP Stay Away!!
AVOID! STAY AWAY! I thought I was just trying out a free app but the typical lawyer-speak fine print included a default opt-in $20/yr -If You Don’t cancel. I clicked too fast -as I’m sure they’re counting on - so now I’m 25 min in to my attempt to cancel the $20 opt in. I abandoned trying the app for this but I’m grateful because I had nothing else to do this morning. After the normal subscription cancelation procedure seemed to go well, I then received an emailed pdf from Apple saying there was a problem. The initial surprise opt-in gave me a week to opt out -which I knew I’d forget. But the new notification said I have until Tomorrow to cancel. How do terms like that arbitrarily change?! Now when I go in to ‘Settings’, ‘iTunes & App Store’, clicked on my Apple ID then ‘Subscriptions’...the one listed for this app doesn’t respond -giving me the choice to cancel/stop. The only options allowed are signing up for the monthly or annual -rather than allowing it to happen automatically after the trial period or tomorrow, I’m no longer sure which since I’ve been told both. Bottom line, this ‘free trial’ has now stollen 30 minutes of my life and I’ve not even been able to cancel it yet. STAY AWAY!
