Not recommended for conservators
Conclusion: It may work for quick reports, but my experience is that it doesn’t properly save long blocks of text. And, once you buy the very expensive yearly subscription, you are stuck with the entire amount if you don’t cancel within 2 weeks! Details: I spent $709.60 for 1 year or 300 reports. I started 14 drafts and, because of the holidays, by the time I completed the first report in January, my cancellation window was over. I wrote a detailed report and used the additional text boxes to document the positions of the “blemishes.” When I saved your report and exported to PDF, the formatting of the PDF was off, with boxes of texts not aligned, and the contents of the two long, detailed blocks of text had been reduced to two rows each, cut mid sentence. When I contacted technical support, they told me they couldn’t replicate the problem and asked me to re-enter the information. I told them I did not trust their system, since they had not been able to address the malfunctioning, and I wanted to cancel the subscription and get some credit. Well, it was past the 14 days cancellation window, and even though you can cancel the monthly subscription with 30 days notice, you are responsible for the entire year and the 300 reports, even if you only use 15 reports and a little over a month of the service. I would understand the inflexibility if it was an actual product that has been used, but it is a software, and my access can easily be revoked. Therefore, I find it unfair to have to pay the entire amount for a service that is not doing what is expected to do. And it is not the user fault, because my text was gone, but the formatting was also skewed. This system may work for a quick report, but I do not recommend it for conservators that care about writing detailed reports with measurements and additional explanations.
