I was a big fan of iSkySoft's video converter app until it stopped working with the latest Mac OS. This is the ONLY reason I hazarded spending the exorbitant fee for the "perpetual license" for UniConverter13. But the app only contains a *fraction* of the features they advertise on their site. BEWARE! It is a total scam. You will not receive the app you see on their site or in the app store.

I bought Wondershare Uniconverter PERPETUAL LICENSE in Oct/2020 to convert and play instructional DVDs from VOB to MP4 or other format that would play on Macs. Not even two years have gone by (only 1 year and seven months have passed)) and Wondershare stopped converting VOBs to MP4s as of the last (and only) update I downloaded, completely ignoring those who had paid for a supposedly PERPETUAL license for which I paid $69.95. Nonetheless, and in a “smarty” and tricky move, Wondershare released THE SAME product with a few minor differences but with a name that was VERY SIMILAR: UniConverter13 - convert video, again charging A NEW SUPPOSEDLY PERPETUAL LICENSE, also with the cost of $69.95. Please ENABLE me to use the product that works of refund my money so that I can buy the other new App that says it is “PERPETUAL” or, else, please make my PERPETUAL LICENSE of Wondershare Uniconverter bought in the end of October 2020 able to resume converting VOB video files to MP4. Or else, the PERPETUAL LICENSE will not have been worth even for 2 years. What a notion of perpetuity!?

I bought a "perpetual" license for the UniConverter 16 months ago. Today, the app began crashing immediately after launching, with an Apple System error stating that the app will be imcompatable with future versions of MacOS. After trying to update the app to a newer version, it forced me to once again buy the app (again, after buying a "perpectual" license). After connecting with the Wondershare rep via chat, I was told the perpetual license is only for version 12 - not the app itself. ??? What??? How is that perpetual? What a completely decietful business practice. A COMPLETE RIP OFF!

So after the last (previous) update the software broke (wouldn't load files.). This update fixes this and the software is now working well - as intended. Down converting resolution works great. Merging video files works great. I had contacted support and they were willing to work through the problem. Not the easiest support to find, but once contqcted they were quick and competent.

I purchased a lifetime license a few years ago and have been using the Windows version for a while with no issues. However when I try to install and use the Mac version on the same account that has both licenses, it says I only have a trial and have to pay to upgrade and use v13. Now they sell "download access insurance" which is a complete scam.
