Maybe a little underdocumented, but when it works, it works well
My previous review was one-star, after the program was running indefinitely without output and support wasn't immediately responsive. Support did get back to me eventually. After removing duplicate images from the set I was trying to stitch, and truncating the set at a point where highlights from the sun reflecting off water seem to have been throwing off the algorithm, the results are good. I'd like to see more verbose progress logs to allow debugging when things go wrong (even if those logs are a bit impenetrable, knowing _which_ image can't be fitted in would be helpful), but when this works, it works -- and the price is right.
Indefinite spinner; not sure it works at all
When I add my images and click the "Stitch" button, the software sits... and sits... and sits. It's eating a lot of CPU, but using very little memory -- far _too_ little memory for the job it's supposed to do, which implies it hasn't actually loaded the images it's supposed to be processing into RAM at all in the first place. Contacted support; no response as of this writing.
Look for another app
This app won't let you just stitch two photos side by side. They need to be part of a panorama. Otherwise, it won't do a thing. Don't waste your money on this app. I wish I could give negative stars.
Photostitcher
Great app1
Photostitcher does the job.
I have used photosticher professionally for a publication with attribution to the software and in my personal hobby pasttime of birding to stitch together a scan of a bird tableaux. It works well in both situations.
Trash
Waste of $20!!!!!
Excellent for my purposes
I use PhotoStitcher to make a single, tall, JPEG file from overlapping screen captures of a Finder window that I can view on screen only by scrolling. I don't need to specify order of screen captures nor do I have to edit out the Finder window header. Works beautifully.
*Improved stitching algorithms *Lots of minor improvements and bugs fixes *Added Apple M1 CPU native support
