Good instructional video. Bad implementation
While it is a good instructional video, can’t stand the implementation. There should be back and forward buttons in 30 second implements. Using your finger to scrub to repeat a section. Is very painful
Great tutorials - worth the extra money
Well, I wasn't sure about pulling the trigger on a $25 app but as they say, you get what you pay for - and this app for not disappoint! My wife and I just purchased a D750 and had such a hard time reading the 6pt type in the manual, that we immediately started looking for an alternative. While searching for the electronic version of the manual, I came across the app and I very glad I did. The overall production quality of the videos is first class and not cheesy at all. The lessons are broken down by chapters and very easy to navigate and review as needed. My wife and I pushed the videos from our iPad to Apple TV and enjoyed watching and pausing while simultaneously playing with our camera and making sure we grasped the concepts before moving on. I didn't see any other reviews that did this app justice so I wanted to put a legit review up for others contemplating purchasing this app. I highly recommended it, especially for busy people like us who don't have the time to read the manual and prefer to get a personal lesson like this! I just purchased the second app as well and can't wait to get into it. So $50 for two apps does seem like a lot, but after paying nearly $2k for a camera body alone, I think it's a smart investment in actually knowing how to use this great piece of equipment to its full potential.
What happened to the D7000 Version
I purchased this for my D7000 but now it is for the D750? I want what I paid for not this!!! Poorly done. Wish I could give it ZERO stars.
Excellent
Excellent presentation - beware regrettably index to chapters does NOT work. But the presentation is excellent. Looking forward to an update
I wish I could give it a "0"
Crap application. Search doesn't work, can't look up something as basic as ISO. One hour of basic video, horrible BGM - who put this together? At $2 okay - 15 times that = rip off! Don't even think about buying it.
Could be way better for the price
The video presentation is really good. But the stuff that is covered you could easily get from the owners manual. I thought it was way to much in price for the at best basic info it provides. The could be a presentation on buttons and there use. There is some much that you can do with this great camera, but way to little information provided for the steep price of this app.
Great intro course
Giving 4 stars b/c it is an excellent intro course. However; I was looking for something a bit more advanced . I did pick up a few tips... . ....please include update that allows the music to be turned off. For me it was extremely distracting....
