I used to love this app! It was my go-to until it was all of a sudden removed from my phone. When I went to redownload it, it was filled with money grabs, limited cutting on editing photos and chalked full of “premium only” options that you have to upgrade in order to get. So not only was my original app taken away, but now it doesn’t even function the at that it used to. Very disappointing.

This app is by far the best I’ve come across. I started with it on a Galaxy S5 years ago and have used it to edit thousands of pictures. I used every single feature from then until now April 17 2024 and the improvements are absolutely amazing to use. Why am I giving it a 3 star rating then? Here are the pros and cons as a LightX Pro customer. Pros Simple to use Video tutorials Powerful for a phone app Every feature works well Cons Every picture is looks like a cartoon. This is not a complaint simply because it’s a phone app. The AI, which I ended up calling it blinkers, blinks away and doesn’t generate a picture. Eventually when it does it can be around 100 hits on the generator button. Repeat. This doesn’t always happen, but it does happen. Sometimes it’s faster to restart the app. The hands are always flat and pointy like a stake. Again this is not a complaint. It’s a phone app. I just started having my wife put her hands where the wasn’t a problem. No big deal. No difference in age. Any age that is. Not a complaint, because the face has been changed so much there are only hints of what the person looks like, hence the cartoon reference. For my wife and I we know who it is, so again no big deal for us. The shape of the face and body is kinda accurate. When using emotions like “smiling”, “happy”, “open mouth smiling” to show teeth they work fine, but not others like”excited, exciting, shocked, surprised, angry (looks the same as not using anything) , sad, smirk (works like smile only) “ Again this is not a complaint. It’s just an app. Doing certain types of wording produces weird effects like a miniature head on top of a head. Three or more arms. Turning the picture 180 degrees to see the back. This is definitely not a complaint. The results are absolutely hilarious and it makes us both laugh. The Big one is Censorship. My wife has been going through cancer treatments and lost her hair, and the medication she gained weight and then lost a lot. So while making pictures we accidentally found out that certain types of clothing will allow for partial nudity, and in some cases, if worded right full nudity. We both got a kick out of it and we were just going to town with it. I’ve never seen her laugh and be so happy with what she’s going through. We were spending $20-50 dollars a week for a little while. Most of the pictures got tossed. Didn’t really care to save them all just a few here and there. This last update made it impossible to make more. I stock piled the coins so we could make what we wanted, but we can’t make or use what is Clearly in the app after the last update. Why put it in the app if you don’t intend to let the Paying customer use it? It’s not like the pictures look HD or even like the person enough to know it’s them in the first place. We would like to see the Grownup version of this since we are paying to use the app, and it’s already in the app to begin with. Good example of this. My wife has no hair, but use one word in the text part and she nude. It gave her hair a slightly different body shape and she was happy. Another example is using a picture of her with short hair almost like a Bob Cut style then it adds hair like a cape all over the entire body. I’d actually pay to see the Grownup version added to the yearly subscription or as a separate one. The Censorship is just not needed for an app that produces, mor or less, cartoon versions of the person. These are listed because no matter what type of picture it has not produced one yet: No HD (not sure on this one) No Ultra HD (in app) No 4K (in app) No Hyper-Realistic (This option may not be available) No readme file or PDF to explain in detail every tool in the app (videos work but most are short) Ok that’s the pros and cons of this app from an amateur editor. I’ve learned a lot with this app and like I said it’s the best and most powerful for someone like my wife and I just to create stuff for us. Every option/tool works like it’s supposed to. The results can look pretty cool on some pictures, but most are just fun representations. We are fine with that and would definitely spend way too much, but that’s fine. We will not do it as long as there is Censorship on things that are Clearly In The App to use. We payed for the coins expecting to make what we want, because it is in the app. If that’s not going to change we may stop our yearly subscription and just use an online version that produces non cartoon images. Personally, I’d prefer use this app, but I’m not going to pay for something that’s in the app and not be able to use it without being Censored. That’s like saying I’m going to pay to Censor myself or my wife. That’s just not going to happen. The rating will remain a 3 Star until the Censorship is removed or added to pay more for it (which shouldn’t be because it’s already in the app to use) If it’s removed a 5 Star and detailed things I use in the app to help new people learn the most useful things in the app for an amateur in need of assistance. Sometimes that’s a better way to get help.

I have been using this app for years and paid for it then today they logged me out and created an update that doesn’t allow me to log back in with facebook or use the pro features. I can’t log back in and lost all my previous purchases. I purchased this app when it was professional perpetual. They’re ripping me off they wont fix the facebook login bug even after I contacted them.
