Taking a photo with your digital still camera or getting sent a picture, this image usually contains some invisible metadata. This metadata contains information that describes some properties of the camera the photo was taken with or it's settings, the location the shot was made and a lot more. Services able to read this data are capable to collect these properties and could construct contextes, build movement profiles and so on. Question: Why does the app not edit PNG? Unfortunately, Apples Photos API does not allow you to change PNG files, but saves them as JPG. To avoid confusion, imagExif can therefore not edit PNGs.

This app is great but lacks video support which is the main reason I bought it.

This app is it professional photographers dream. Very quick and easy to add descriptions, keywords, date and time to events and batch photos to send to agencies worldwide in a blank. If you’re a pro photog, and can’t wait til the end of an event to upload and process, this app helps you on the fly, in the palm of your hand.

This app is improved over the original version I purchased a couple of months ago. It retrieves photos much quicker. Problem is that minor changes in exif data result in a huge swelling of the original photo size. I entered info in some of the fields that were blank as a test and my original photo size of 2.77 MB ballooned to 12.36 MB! Is that reasonable or logical?

This app lets you add titles, descriptions, memoranda, lets you edit the location or name it, and a lot more than simply deleting camera-written exif data you don’t want to share. You can do that too. So, you can delete what you wish to remain known only to you, add what you wish to publish, and save it to a “safe”, shareable original-resolution copy of your photo. Great!

If you just want to delete locations and change dates on your photos, you can buy any app, they all do those basic tasks. If you want to do that and also have the choice to ADD, EDIT, DELETE, TAG, keywords, description change, true deep metadata/ all options metadata from photos - then 110% buy this app!! This app allows you to truly edit the metadata, whereas the 'popular' & top-rated apps only allow you to change the dates & locations! Importantly: it doesn't compress your photos! (I tested 10 photos, no photo size compression/loss, unlike other apps).. I purchased 3 of the 'popular' metadata apps, none of them allow you to selectively edit certain fields. - I was so frustrated that I had already spent that money pointlessly, this app had no ratings when I bought it, sit really was my "last one" and then I was going to give up.. (If it didn't work, I was going to give up & just edit metadata on my computer..) This app is the real deal!, edit metadata of your choice, properly! This app does metadata editing & does it very well. (I tested and checked my edited photos metadata using cloud based search tools, it works wonderfully and not only iptc data). - The interface makes sense, it's not overly complicated, but is robust. - It offers 'presets' (templates of text you want to add/change in metadata), saves some time. - It offers batch editing (although tbh, the batch workflow could be made more efficient, but hey at least it works & hopefully they'll keep improving batch workflow).. If you just want to delete locations and change dates on your photos, buy any app, they all do those basic tasks. If you want to ADD, EDIT, DELETE true deep, all options metadata from photos - then buy this app!! Oh & give this developer a review, we need to help boost the profile of this app. I couldn't believe how basic (but super pretty UI) the apps were that are top-rated in metadata editing.
