DronePan 2.0 is better than ever with a new UI and functionality. A special thanks to Kilian Eisenegger for all his hard work and contributions to this project. If you have any questions about this version please join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/dronepan/ DronePan is free, open source, and makes it easy to capture panorama photos with your DJI Inspire1, Phantom 3, Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro, Mavic Pro, Spark and iOS Device. You can use the live FPV screen to fly to the appropriate altitude, frame your shot, and DronePan takes care of the rest. DronePan will take photos at the necessary yaw and pitch with your aircraft. The process takes less than 3 minutes to complete and you can then fly to another location to begin another panorama. Keep your DJI drone within line of sight when using DronePan. Update your aircraft to the latest firmware before using DronePan. Join our Facebook group for more tips and tricks: https://www.facebook.com/groups/dronepan/ When you land your photos are ready to be stitched together with your favorite panorama stitching program. We highly recommend using PTGui or AutoPano Pro. If you're interested in contributing to the DronePan source code then please join us here: https://github.com/dbaldwin/dronepan
Crashes with Osmo+
Crashes as soon as picture taking starts.
Waiting for acceptance on fb group
It currently allows osmo to take pictures and videos, but immediately crashes when I try a pano from this app.
Does not work with Mavic Pro
I can’t speak to any other platform, but it does not complete a sequence of photos on the mavic pro. Very disappointing.
Osmo
Please update it to use for Osmo.
Confused.
I used this app once so far, and when I did the app crashed and my P3S was stuck in the air. I had to grab the drone and take the battery out while it was in the air, luckily it wasn’t too high up. After taking off again I noticed it was not anywhere near as stable on either gps mode as it was before. The drone was also shaking and unstable. I’ll try again soon and see how it goes.
Doesn’t work
I have a Mavic Pro. It would take several pictures but the drone wouldn’t pan and then it would say that it failed to take a picture. To make matters worse when I returned to the DJI app I couldn’t move or pan the drone. I had to hit the return to home button on the controller before I could regain control. I closed all apps and retried again but got the same result.
Works for me!
I currently own a Mavic Pro, a Phantom 4 and a Phantom 4 Pro. I've used Drone Pan on all three of my Drones and other than a couple of times facing directly into the sun (forgot my camera hood) I've really had no problems with this program!!? Which makes me wonder under what situations the people who stated they had problems had?? The only time I had an issue was when DJI HAD A VERY buggy firmware update but that was corrected in a couple of days! I've made some very good shots with Drone Pan!
