No photo only Timelapse, excessive permissions
This Timelapse camera comes with the ability to do 1 second videos, video + photo, but there’s no photo only option. I only want to take one photo a day. Either it is user error or this camera really has all of these other options except for the one I want! Second, the permissions it requires are incredibly sketchy. It wants WiFi, location, all photos (including read access), and so on. I wish I had a simpler device that just took an SD card and connected over Bluetooth. Overall, I’m going to use trail cameras going forward. They have night vision, movement detection, and timelapse schedules. This product is a piece of expletive.
Works as Advertised
Simple App but it does what it says. Using an ancient iPhone 8 it links quickly and once started works great. Plugged into a car lighter as a Timelapse dash cam, I was able to record from Western Washington all the way to Eastern Idaho! Worked great. Higher resolution would be nice, but I knew it was 1080 when I got it. Decent presets and good settings control if you want full manual.
Extremely buggy, completely unusable, awful battery
This is a shame, because I was really looking forward to capturing some time lapse videos, and the camera quality actually seems really good. The issue is the only way to control this camera is with the app. The app is awful. It’s incredibly buggy. After multiple attempts I was able to finally get it to actually record a time lapse video. But then it deletes the video if it runs out of battery midstream. The battery ran out about an hour after starting it. And it said it was fully charged in the beginning. It won’t let you connect to the appWhen the camera is plugged in.The app freezes constantly, or respond so slowly it seems like it’s frozen or not registering your tap.All of these issues render the camera completely useless
Impressed
Out of the box it did everything it’s supposed to do easily. App works great with iPhone
Doesn’t work
This app will load and then freeze the phone completely. Since the app doesn’t work, the camera itself is useless. You cannot control the camera anyway other than the app. $200 piece of plastic
Performance improved and bugs fixed
