Bug fixes did not work! It still crashes!
Great app—if one can get it to work!
Update on Aug. 13, 2023. Despite another update to the app, all previously-mentioned issues still exist. Nothing has changed. App Support is still a joke, and I never received a response from the developer. Other users out there: if you are encountering the same issues, please write a review. My previous reviews follow, more or less from newest to oldest. Update: 05/16/2023: The notification bug persists, and is driving me crazier by the day—or week! A few minutes ago, I was again in notifications, and clicked one from an unrelated app; but, just as I did so, another notification came in, causing the cursor to jump, causing a notification from WVTM (which I would have read later) to open. Because I didn’t want to lose that article, I went ahead and read it, along with the rest of the thread of articles that comes up by default when one opens a WVTM notification. But, again, I just lost several _days’ worth of WVTM notifications, which I would have acted on in the next day or so, but only _after copying the unopened notifications into a note so as not to lose them entirely. I am sure I’m not the only person fuming over this notification bug. Extremely busy people can’t always get to a notification as soon as it comes up; and, if one receives notifications in a variety of categories (weather, breaking news, national and world, etc.), notifications can accumulate in a hurry! It’s ridiculous that opening one notification from a specific app should cause all other notifications from that app to disappear. I have one other app that behaves in the same mannner, and its developer is about to hear from me again as well. Meanwhile, if anyone else out there is dealing with the same issue, please make your voice heard; or, if you have found a way to prevent this from happening, please write a review. What is labeled as “app support” for this app is a joke, so please write a review! This would receive 5 stars, except for an annoying bug that appeared with the most recent update. It has to do with notifications. During the course of a few very busy days, a number of notifications from WVTM accumulated; but now, as I am ready to catch up, I am faced with a dilemma. When one clicks on a notification from WVTM, _all of the notifications from this app now disappear! Therefore, one must either choose one article to read, letting all of the others vanish unread, or one must attempt to copy the links to all of the articles in notifications in order to save them—a laborious process if there are numerous notifications. Please fix! Update: Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, the issue persists. The issue with the notifications is driving me crazy! I had about 15 of them, which had accumulated over several days, in my notifications center. I normally deal with notifications from oldest to newest. For this app, I copy the notification and enter it into a note, hoping that I can eventually find all of the articles when I open the WVTM app. Sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn’t. The problem is that I managed to open one of those 15 or so notifications, and _all _of _them _disappeared, as I hadn’t had a chance to copy them into a note. Now, I’ll never be able to find them! With all of my other news apps, if a number of notifications have accumulated and I act on one of them, the others remain in the notifications center, awaiting action on them. _Please _fix _this _annoying _bug! It’s _maddening! Update: Another update to the app has occurred, but the same bug is still here. It happened again today: I accidentally tapped an article, and all other notifications from WVTM disappeared, without me being able to make a note of all of them. PLEASE FIX!!! At one time, I would have given the app five stars; but, with the aforementioned bug, my rating dropped to four, an then three. Now, it’s down to one! That’s not because of the content; it’s great! It’s because of what still happens with notifications! Perhaps I need to explain something. When one is in Notification Center, about to click an item, and then another notification comes in just as you are clicking it, the cursor will jump, and a totally different item will open. This especially seems to be the case as of late for VoiceOver users, and may also be the case with other screen readers. Minutes ago, I tapped an urgent item from Apple News; but, another notification came in, the cursor jumped, opening an item from WVTM. Because of the ongoing issue with notifications for this app, I am forced to allow a number of items to accumulate, then—without opening the items—copy them into a note. This is when I finally have time to go back and read the items. Because of the jump of the cursor, I lost several days’ worth of items from WVTM. Now, they are forever gone—or at least seem to be. Even though I do not relish deleting this app, it appears that I have no other choice. My hope is that I can get WVTM articles via Apple News. My word of warning: If you want an app with terrific content, and don’t care about notifications, get this one. If you _do care about notifications, and don’t want all of them to disappear when you tap on one item, _don’t _install _it. To add insult to injury, I have emailed the developer numerous times, and have yet to receive a response. I suspect that other users of the app are being similarly ignored. I look forward to a response, if possible.
Grateful
I am very grateful to all of you for being such a trustworthy team. You’re the only station I go to for news, weather, and such. God bless all of you for your hard dedicated work and thank you, Deb McGough.

Too many fluff stories pushed as breaking news
Good for weather updates, but I finally decided to delete the app because of its insistence on sending push notifications for the most mundane human interest stories despite me having my filters set to “breaking news” only.
