stealing from iOS clipboard
Had the Telegraph in the background and when I switched back into the app, iOS displayed the messages that Telegraph PASTED FROM NOTES. In other words I did not tap PASTE and the app simply took whatever was on my clipboard from IOS Notes which on this occasion happened to be a password. Sneaky and unethical. There are other apps known to do this same thing but be aware before installing. I’ve now uninstalled and will access via Safari.
Better than most but still only OK
I have been a long time Telegraph subscriber and while the quality of their articles has deteriorated in my opinion, it is still one of the better sources of news I have used. The overall design of the app is also about S good as any. However, execution rarely meets design: I am repeatedly frustrated by the frequency that the articles and headline links don’t match. You click on the story you want only to get a completely different one because there is a syncing issue. Then begins a wasteful game of hide-and-seek in order to find the story you are looking for.
Good, right of centre and beyond UK news source
Although my political tastes are as a moderate UK conservative, I use this and the Guardian app to keep abreast of UK news whilst I'm living in the US. Something from both sides of the political spectrum to keep it real. Obviously the Telegraph caters not just for liberal conservatives like myself, but those of a saucier stripe too, but I’m media literate enough to read past the bluster when it presents itself and still enjoy the read mostly. The tone of a news narrative is important for me. For the sake of a reductive binary, I’d say I find the common sense mantra of the Telegraph more tolerable than the embattled piety of the Guardian, which gets old fast. I do wish the photos could be tapped on to enlarge, but photojournalism seems like a secondary consideration for the Telegraph, which is a shame. Showing as well as telling is always a plus if both are of a high standard. Would love to see this. Repeating photos, graphics and cartoons as thumbnails on different stories is also a bit shabby on a premium product. Please improve. Sometimes links are bad, on the front page mostly. For instance, I’ve clicked on a story in the UK only to be presented with something about Donald Trump. Not seeing his omnipresent visage was one of the reasons I clicked on that story in the first place. Please be a little more diligent. Fix these things and I’d give it five.
Paid for premium in app purchase but do not get it in app
Paid for premium in app But don’t have it and keyboard is not printing this review onto the app itself review
I-Tunes Subscription Ignored
I already subscribe through I-Tunes and now they want me to pay for access to the digital form just to keep my I-Tunes subscription going. Since when is the I-Tunes subscription not good enough? Are you trying to get rid of your international readers? It isn't fair to have to pay twice for the same subscription.

Mediocre app
I appreciate the Telegraphs news but this app is lacking in so many ways. Firstly it requires a constant connection to access articles. So when I am on a plane or offline it’s useless and stories cannot be downloaded. Secondly other app is missing so many stories that are generated by the publication so it’s incomplete. Lastly the app has no search feature so if for example I want to find one of the Telegraphs excellent travel articles about a specific location I cannot do so via the app. These shortcomings actually render the app pretty useless vs just using a browser unfortunately
