Red banner and comments
Please get rid of the annoying red banner that keeps popping up ..even when you close it . Also in the app format, all comments don’t load. Way too many video/live/sliding ads and moving/sliding property ads. All of these are way too distracting when you just want to read the articles . The huge background ads are very annoying also. The Herald is the best news site and I don’t mind paying but it is getting almost unreadable with all the distractions. Thanks

As an expat kiwi I love being kept up to date.
The ads are very annoying.
The way they continually move is very trying when trying to read an article. We are already paying a subscription, so when do we get so many ads?
App broken after last update - signs out daily
Since the last update, the app signed me out, even though I am a pain subscriber every single day sometimes several times a day. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, and nothing has changed it. This was never a problem for the last five years of my using the app. Also, while we’re at it, my biggest complaint is that I’m a subscriber, and I still have a ton of ads pushed at me.
Too much pushing NZME Products
I subscribe to The Herald for news; not to know what Mike Hosking is doing on ZM. If I wanted that I’d listen to that station. Cross marketing your products tends to take you away from the centre of politics and to the right. I doubt if I will renew my subscription.
NZ Herald often first with foreign breaking news
I read the NZ Herald from the USA. They frequently break news stories before many of the big news organizations. For example, they had printed a story on the October 7 Hamas attack before the BBC, CNN, NY Times, and WSJ. And the content was spot on.
