MOTOR TREND Buyer's Guide

I used to love this app, but the people responsible for content are doing a sloppy job. Nothing more frustrating than clicking on a video to find out it’s the wrong video for the article. Then they start talking about comparison between cars, to find out there is no content to read once you scroll down.

A 3 year old could design a better app. iPhone display only, portrait only, full time annoying ads. This is a company that wants to lose readers.

I don’t usually write reviews for apps, but felt the need to do it in hopes of someone seeing this and making improvements to the app. I understand that motor trend is trying to convert people into paying subscribers, which probably explains why this app is so poorly supported, but I’m begging motor trend to please at least make the app show/display the same content as is already provided on their website for free. Please either discontinue this app, or match it to the website, as it reflects poorly on the publisher. Currently, the articles in the app are often incomplete, but then if you go to the motor trend website you can see the exact same article in its complete form. Also, almost all the articles have a completely irrelevant video in place, which negates the purpose of having it in the first place, as after a few times you just learn to not click on the video since it will be irrelevant to the article. Please motor trend, either discontinue this app, or update it. Thank you from a long time reader.

Listen up Motortrend - I’m a subscriber to your print mag - I’ve also ow Ed this app fir years. Many of your articles (most?) like others have mentioned, only contain the lead-in description - NO LINKS TO ANY CONTENT! What’s up? I’m only concerned like others because we love MT and this isn’t representative of your other offerings!

Good luck reading the articles or watching the videos. Video links are consistently wrong. Lists don't work at all. Photos load glacially slow. Articles often are just a mess of ads that block content. This is the best excuse to subscribe to a physical magazine ever. And now it’s constantly spams Nissan ads. What a complete and total mess.

As other reviewers have stated, the content is no longer refreshing. Update: Content had returned, but there are still the usually unrelated videos at the top of each article, and lists still don’t show up properly.

I love cars and this app had a lot of fresh content daily. Unfortunately they have completely abandoned it for their apps that you must purchase content. Delete.
