Using the latest virtual reality technology, Lockup 360 gives viewers an unprecedented look into the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center – completely engrossing viewers in the lives of those who work and live inside the facility. Through in-depth profiles of both an inmate and officers in a county jail, the experience provides a completely immersive journey that takes audiences from outside the prison and into the cells and common areas that encompass the day-to-day lives of those within its walls.
Amazing app
This is a 3D app that you must experience!
Worked Excellently
Glad I tried it in spite of the negative reviews. A toggle on the opening page gives the option of Virtual Reality, Side-By-Side (SBS) use. If you have VR goggles choose this option. Take advantage of this feature by standing (unless you have a swivel chair or stool) and turning to look in all directions, including up & down. The primary action will take place in one direction and your intuition will usually point you there, especially after you've adjusted to looking around. The app also periodically superimposes screens over portions of the display. Eventually I stopped being annoyed by them and found them innovative. I like this app. Try it. (I am using VRKIX headgear, which has a limited Field of View (FOV) _ about 60% _ which is disappointing. I like everything else about these glasses. But until they introduce a version with at least a 100% FOV (and it should be 120) I cannot recommend them.
Kept me out of jail!
:)
Great idea. Poor execution.
Great idea, but honestly I got pretty dizzy watching it. I'm looking forward to the updates and see the improvements. Big fan of lockedup!
Very disappointing
The virtual reality does not work properly because the left and right images are backwards! That means that object that are supposed to look far away look close, and vice versa.
The VR feature does NOT work
It does not work with Google Cardboard. Images are offset, causing double vision, with no way to calibrate. Very disappointing. Why are they running ads for this on MSNBC when it doesn't work?
It's ok
It's good, but pretty rushed
