Regardless of whether you are on a mountain bike or mountaineering - you love to be out and about in the mountains and have always wanted to be able to read off your altitude gain at a glance? The Widget and Watch Altimeter Pro offers you an exact altimeter to accompany you on your trail. Concentrate entirely on trekking in nature and simply and directly read the altitude you have reached on your Apple Watch or your iPhone. The app was specially designed as a complication for the Apple Watches 2, 3 and 4 and also works as an altimeter widget on your iPhone. Functions: - Complication and Widget - Cumulative display of the altitude meters achieved - Graphical view of the height profile - Easily switch between "meters" and "feet"
Great Altimeter App
This Altimeter app is the only one that I have found that have the complications update automatically for the Apple Watch. The developer is constantly working to make this app better and he is quick to respond to any questions you may have. Look forward to future updates.
Does not update itself on the watch
It does not update itself in complications. You have to “touch it” to obtain current reading several times because first couple of times always crashes!! Fix autoupdate and this is 5 star app!! 2/11/19 After last update this app works like it supposed. Five star app like I’ve mentioned above!!!! 10/01/20 After the most recent update widget will only show meters regardless of the setting
Disappointed
Does not change elevation
Can't get to work at all as complication
It just says 3281 feet all the time (I live at 840 ft). It never moves. The app doesn't show up anywhere on my iPhone settings to allow background use, so not sure how to do that. Doesn't work any different if you open the app.
Hot Garbage
Don’t waste your money... should have read the reviews. Guess I’ve wasted more on less before but if I could get my money back I would for sure
Unable to switch to feet
A comment on October 26 discussed the inability to switch the altimeter on an Apple Watch 4 from meters to feet. This problem does not seem to have been corrected as of yet. My brain just can not do the conversion when I’m climbing an incline and I have to dig my phone out to get a reading in feet.
App doesn’t download
App doesn’t download to watch.
