The official CapMetro App offers public transportation riders in Austin and surrounding areas trip-planning tools, fare purchasing, real-time departure information, service alerts, schedules and maps and other great features that make riding easy. Our latest update includes a virtual card called AMP that provides riders the savings of a daily or monthly pass without paying the full cost up-front. Not sure how to get there? Whether you're at home or on transit, just pull up the app to access the Trip Planner and easily buy passes. This app requires iOS 11 or higher. We recommend using iOS 12 to take advantage of all the app features. App Features: - Buy tickets for Bus and Rail services. Eligible customers can also use CapMetro Access and Reduced Fares*. - The Trip Planner feature plans a customized itinerary based on your starting and ending locations. It also displays real-time information for select CapMetro services. Save your favorite trips for easier planning. - Create, manage and use your AMP card to enjoy daily and monthly fare capping on Bus & Rail. - Check schedules for all routes in the system. - View Route Maps by service and route number. - Use the Next Departure feature to find the next bus near your location. - Report a safety concern For Customer Service assistance, please contact the CapMetro GO Line at 512-474-1200 or visit capmetro.org. *If you use a Reduced Fare ID Card, you must first visit the CapMetro Transit Store (located in downtown Austin at 209 W 9th St, open weekdays 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) to have a CapMetro representative activate the reduced fare purchasing option on the app. If you are a CapMetro Access (paratransit) customer, you can register to purchase CapMetro Access passes on the app by calling 512-389-7501. Please have your client ID number available and email address used to register your account.
Pathetic
All they want is to store your credit card. Can’t even get a schedule in the app.
Most horrible invention this company has as of yet!
This app is horrible, I have been through weeks of rebounding charges through its virtual card system which I basically have to call to have removed from my card just to have card block issues which I am prescribed the embarrassment of explaining my situation to a bus driver just to board. Apps like this shouldn’t be allowed to continue in a professional world, I still haven’t seen a proper accounting sheet that reflects my charges/errors and feel robbed still. Deleting this app immediately and suspecting it of fraud. No thank you.
Poor UX
The old way of buying tickets was way simpler / less confusing.
Confused
I really need a tutorial, the app is confused. why my pass is “inactive” and can’t scan in the bus
Needs a rework
The bus arrive times are very off. They should have it sinked with the bus that is on route.
I miss the old app
Why change something that isn’t broken? Now we have to make a name for each bus card? This app is confusing and I miss the old one. Now I have two apps called CapMetro. Yup; that sounds about right 🤦🏻♂️
Difficult to Use
Difficult to use. Able to load funds but not to access pass. Asked driver and they simply did not have time to assist so they waved us on.
