WEXT plays at least one local song per hour, and dedicates itself to furthering the cause of local musicians.  We love the Local 518!

Music for soul

I used this app while in China 5 yrs ago and in now doing the same. Though the app leaves some things to be desired, such is life. This radio station is my personal favorite world wide and I love the ability to listen to the eclectic music from East to West and everywhere in between.

Missing basic stuff

This lacks two basic features that most apps - including public radio apps - have. The first is a sleep timer. The second is an indicator of what song is actually playing. Really no reason to have the app when TuneIn gives you the same bare bones. Disappointing.

THANK YOU WEXT!

Great looking, no gimmicks, to the point radio app. Audio quality is great and the app is perfectly simplistic. The only thing I might suggest is that you somehow display the current playing song on the screen. There's so much great music and it would be nice to know what I'm listening too. Maybe even a button to tap to buy the current song in iTunes? Thanks for allowing me to bring 97.7 with me when FM can't!
