TotalMix Remote is a remote client for RME’s Windows/Mac software TotalMix FX 1.50 and up. It gives remote control over the audio interface’s mixer and effects software TotalMix FX that runs on the host computer. TotalMix Remote uses TCP/IP and therefore works on the iPad wirelessly in any network. *** This app works only with RME audio interfaces that are supported by TotalMix FX! *** TotalMix Remote runs on iPad2 or newer, and all iOS versions from 12.0 up, using only few resources. It does not process audio, but acts as remote control for a Windows/Mac computer which has an RME audio interface attached, and TotalMix FX v1.50 or up installed. The app is nearly identical to the desktop version of TotalMix FX, in features, operation, design and functionality. Some limitations apply. Please refer to the included help for details. Just another reason to love RME. I’m not very technical but they use old internet protocols to control the interface from the app so in normal RME fashion it’s extremely stable, fast and reliable. I wasn’t able to get it to connect using the IP address but was able to with the computer name. This app is what the iPad was made for.

This is my perfect companion to instantly control TotalMix FX while in Cubase without having to switch between apps on my computer. I find it most useful when monitoring during a mix between speaker A and B. I can walk around my studio freely and mix for different perspectives. My wish is that it becomes available for iPhone soon. It would be nice to use a smaller device to switch monitors A and B. In the meantime this is perfect. Thanks RME!

The only thing missing for my ufx plus was a way to quickly access the mixer without needing to use the mouse and wamn. This app sits lovely on my desk in a Ipad Dock, well done guys
