Generate pure sine wave tones at frequencies from 20hz to 22,000hz. Tone generation is useful in tuning instruments, hearing tests, science experiments, and testing audio equipment. Tone Generator has many uses: - Hearing Test: What is the lowest/highest frequency you can hear in each ear? - Tuning Instruments: Does your top guitar string match Low E at 440 Hz? - Science Experiments: What is the resonant frequency of your wine glass? - Audio System Test: What frequencies does your subwoofer support? Directions: Adjust audio frequency by dragging the slider or tapping the plus/minus buttons. Adjust device volume using the on-screen volume slider. You can also specify to play audio to any AirPlay supported device. Toggle audio playback using the Play/Pause button. Created by the audio experts at TMSOFT that brought you the famous White Noise app. Check out all our apps and sounds at http://www.tmsoft.com/
Needs precision tuning
This would be so much improved by a more sensitive slider or ability to type in a frequency. Too sloppy to give the precision required to cancel noise from tinnitus.
Versatile
As a musician and voice actor who records in a home studio, I have found this app invaluable for ear training and help with troubleshooting. Especially, when you’re learning how to mix, if you have a troublesome frequency that you have difficulty finding. I’ve used this app to replicate the tone by ear then I use the data from this app to find that frequency on the EQ and adjust it. Unless your a seasoned pro with golden ears, this app will save you time and headaches. It’s also useful for testing audio gear and microphones. On occasion, I’ve also used it to make my dog stop barking. LOL! The dogs hate it around 2.5kHz. If this app was lost or stolen, I’d get it again immediately. LOL!
Dead on arrival.
No tone coming out of this app.
Not bad
Would be cool if it had variable load inputs not just a constant but otherwise does the job like a boss
Fun with sound
I downloaded a couple of these wave/frequency noise apps, but by the time I went to use them I had forgotten why I wanted them and am probably not using them for what they are for, because I don’t know what that is. BUT they sure are fun and sometimes LOUD
Does adjust to landscape mode
Does adjust to landscape mode which is REALLY annoying on iPads with keyboard stands.
Great app!
This is a great app to test speakers and equipment! And no in app purchases or subscriptions like other apps. I just think maybe in a future update you should make there still be sound while moving the frequency bar but other than great!
