Stereo Width Control is an Audio Unit plugin that allows you to increase or decrease the stereo width of 4 adjustable frequency bands. Mastering engineers use it to ensure that the bass frequencies of the kick drum and bass instruments stay tightly focused in the centre channel while a keeping spacious stereo image in the mid range frequencies. Stereo Width Control operates with your choice of 1 to 4 separate bands. Each band has a solo control, used to audition that band on its own while you adjust its frequency range and stereo width setting. In the lower right is a stereo vectorscope graph that is helpful for visualising the volume and stereo width of your tracks. NOTE: This app is an Audio Unit plugin that runs inside of host apps such as GarageBand. It does not process audio in standalone mode.
Wondrous
This is a permanent part of my mastering chain as it is so useful for dialing in the perfect locations for various frequencies and creating the right amount of space in the overall mix. Excellent!

The only reliable stereo control on iOS or Mac that I know of. Saves Major time
This is professional, distribution quality. Each song is saving me two working days, 16 hours, of stereo balancing. Not because of invisible tricks or ai. It gives you 100% control of where the bass goes. (Center/left/right not positioning of the instruments, that’s different). This is a professional analysis and engineering utility for professional musicians and sound designers. If you are a beginner? If you center your bass you can get very loud mixes that don’t cause an accidental wobbling annoying to professional engineers. The amazing thing is that when you center bass? You get all the rest of the stereo space for reverb highs and effects. I drop the bass sliders to the left. Bass 1 0% stereo. Bass 2 I set at 30-40% stereo width and slide right until it is just past the bass peaks. I put the right high treble slider, 4, all the way right and set treble width to 90%. There is a wide area of highs left that I put at 100%. In any daw balancing stereo is brutal. Panning mutes one channel, it does not balance. So every time you do a pan mix for stereo? It is getting quieter every time. So you pan more and boost loudness. Which causes the very same stereo imbalance. It’s a rabbit hole. This plugin, by the very nature of the science behind how it was designed, creates manageable loudness. Bass mono. Treble wide. So it actually makes a little dB. It makes exciters unnecessary.
