JBL SRX Connect provides a simple and familiar template-driven interface to control the user-configurable DSP in up to 36 JBL SRX800 Series loudspeakers. For ease of use, SRX Connect simplifies the grouping and linking of loudspeakers, and seamlessly transitions from a system design interface to a system control interface within the same environment. SRX Connect provides a framework to configure loudspeakers for many use cases in a way that the system can be designed and be up and running quickly and easily. Each loudspeaker offers 20 bands of parametric EQ, compression, up to 1 second of delay, a signal generator, input mixing, amplifier monitoring, and 50 User Presets. Despite the comprehensive processing capabilities of each loudspeaker, SRX Connect intelligently divides, combines and distributes control across the system, putting the processing right where it's needed in a very uncluttered interface.
Unusable after update to iOS 16
As others have said, this app is unusable on iOS 16 or later. The app layout no longer allows access to critical portions of the display which are now rendered off screen. Absolutely unacceptable.
Absolute garbage…
Well, this app looks like it would do everything I need… EQ, delay, etc. with the whole new 10 speaker system I’ve been asked to set up. HOWEVER, it doesn’t work. It seems like it needs to display in portrait mode to access all of the “Enter” buttons and other features. But it WILL NOT change orientations, even when reloaded. In speaking with JBL Pro support directly, they acknowledge the problem, have NO timetable for fixing it… but happily said it works on Android. I suppose they should throw in an Android tablet with my friend’s $14,000 speaker purchase. Had the same problem with a DriveRack app some time ago. NO USER TESTING and no support for the most common tablet out there. Pathetic!!!
Horrible
With the price we pay for the SRX line of speakers the least JBL can do is provide an app that works. Looks like they just gave up. Left the PRX line because they wouldn’t work with the connect app. Now I’m just contemplating going to EV or QSC. This is ridiculous.
No longer displays properly
It would be a helpful tool if you could actually access it fully. The app resolution is off and makes it unusable.
App needs updating
It’s not compatible on a iPad Pro. The display is all stretched out to the point where you cant load, load, match and send, delete, or cancel when attempting to load a show. The same issue when trying to add additional speakers like the 828sp you can’t scroll.
Needs to be update
Can not see the bottom part on my iPad
Unusable with iOS 16 update
The main reason for using this app was the benefit of sculpting my tone with the 16 band EQ. But that is impossible now with the latest iPad software update. Like another reviewer said, there is no way to view the bottom of the screen. Without the use of the app, I have no way to access the sounds I was getting through the amp. Now I only have access to the few presets on the amp which don’t have the nice high end and scooped mids I was enjoying. Total bummer.
