OK sounds but limited
The sounds are ok but it is very limited to me. Apart from adding the “old sample sound” using the effect section it feels to basic and limiting. The sounds are boring, basic and offered nothing new. Keep in mind I use Korg Module and several auv3 and for the price it is not worth it. Maybe an updated version of sampletank with auv3 but this was old and boring fast. You can add the sample sound and layer sounds but it is too basic.

I keep giving IK a chance to show me they can tackle this iOS market. And they disappoint almost me every time ( the “almost” being Mixbox which is a masterpiece) . But This is the last. Anything involving the files system cause an error. Can’t load or save samples with an error. For $99 I expected better. I’m sick of paying for the “potential” of IK media apps and regretting it. I won’t do that again.

I’ll not go into an in depth review. I was very upset that there is not an option to not loop the sounds. I like the taped samples to actually end as they did on the original Mellotron. This makes me question if all the samples were actually sampled at their full length. The samples in the free sample pack download are only about three seconds long. Also some keys continually loop while others actually stop after a few seconds. Why the inconsistency. A little buggy as well. For lower price, I’d recommend looking at Streetlytron Pro, Mellotron XL, and Mellowsound. These are a bang for the buck and give a more authentic Mellotron experience.
