Whatever your current level is, anywhere from beginner to expert, this application facilitates training for an important part of musical education: rhythmic musical dictation. By listening to randomly generated melodies and reproducing their rhythm using the rhythmic blocks you chose to practice, you'll get better and work your way up to more rhythmic elements, longer sequences and higher tempo, making you a better musician! For beginners, including young children, you will select a few elements only (for example: quarter note, half note and half rest), then add other ones, one at a time, only when the success rate at this level is high enough. More experienced users, including intermediate and advanced musical students, will choose to include more complex rhythmic elements. You can customize which blocks you want to practice and the frequency at which they occur. Some rhythmic elements are giving you more trouble than others and you want to practice them a lot? Set them to come up very often and you're good to go! You can thus fully personalize your training. In case you need help with figuring out a particular melody, switch to help mode. You can then play each measure you wrote and compare it to the original melody, which is an incredible learning tool allowing you to grasp even the most subtle nuances between the different rhythmic elements.
Excellent Rhythm Trainer
I love this rhythm trainer. The only suggestion I would make is to provide monotone sound like is used in the app "Beatly"
So frustrating
This app is a waste of money. Dragging notes doesn’t always work and it would be much easier to just tap on the patterns I want. I hate having to carefully try to drag a note, drop it in the right spot, and have nothing happen. I can’t even select a time signature. Ugh.
Helpful but lacking in functionality
This was a helpful app, but it has several flaws. 1. You cannot choose a time signature such as 9/8 2. It is great to be able to choose patterns to play, but did they REALLY have to make all the choices vibrate on the screen? It gives me a headache. 3. I would like to be able to stop playing a melody or start over again before it plays all the way through. Fix it. Thank you in advance for correcting these issues (if you do.)
Really annoying
Cant add or remove notes while listening. Very basic note values. 🤦♂️
Didn’t work. Couldn’t figure it out don’t waste your money deleted it within 10 minutes
Deleted in 10 minutes. Luckily I didn’t waste too much When I tried to get a refund they refused
Good and accurate
Good app to test your skills identifying rhythm. It would be more challenging if it also tested your ability to identify intervals, aka if the dictation tested not just rhythmic values but also notes. A grading system would be good to measure one’s progress. Overall it’s a useful app though.
Great app for rhythmic dictation
I found this app after I bought one that didn’t work. This app does every I need. I can set the time signature, the number of measures, the note values, rests, etc. Thank you for this app!
sometimes, going to Creation mode and back would lead to a melody containing unselected rhythmic elements
