WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!! IT DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO SOUNDING LIKE A VIOLIN. WORST APP EVER!!! BECAUSE OF THIS, I HAVE LOST ALL FAITH IN APPLE DOING ANY QUALITY CONTROL OF APPS THAT THEY SELL. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! I DONT EVEN WANT THIS PIECE OF CRAP EVEN IF IT WERE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unsure if useful
this sounded a bit too much like an organ to me & just did not seem all that playable. Slide mode seemed less useful than some sort of approximation of down bows/ up bows/ slur or hook. Please add pizzicato mode and indicate whether this is a sampled violin or not. Doesn't seem to be to my ear yet may just be processed in a way I can not appreciate. The interface look and basic fingerboard geography may be useful to some, yet I want a much more real sounding instrument. I will sink more time in and also check for updates then revisit the review. No update for a few weeks so I am back to lower by a star and to add that the claim that this has much similarity(i.e. "real") to a violin seems inaccurate. Of course, we realize it is an app and therefore not real yet I was hoping for something that showed basic attention to audio and interface quality. This needs multi samples and pizzicato etc etc. Before it will be acceptably close.
I was your guinea pig
was worth a try, a $5 try sadly. The sound, as the first reviewer said, was very poor and sounded more like an organ. The controls were awkward in the "slide mode" which, I found, made it useless. Honestly, not a plus I can think of.
