Power Player uses your existing Apple Music / iTunes library to take your music to a whole new level: LAYOUTS: You can use Power Player in any orientation you want and choose between grid and list layouts on iPhone. Multi-column layouts make full use of the iPad's large display. ADAPTIVE COLORS: Power Player uses the colors of your artwork for an immersive experience throughout the whole UI. NOW PLAYING: Add scrolling lyrics in the LRC format to any song in your music library and Handoff the currently playing song. The player supports 3 visualizer styles that react to device tilting. HOME: Discover your music library and pin your favorite songs and playlists. PLAYLISTS: Create playlists and collaborate with friends using SharePlay. ICULTURE - BEST NEW DUTCH APPS OF MARCH: Power Player elevates your iPad music library to a higher level, has a beautiful design, and has easier navigation than the default music player. MARC BARROWCLIFT - SECOND ANNUAL IOS MUSIC PLAYER COMPETITION: This is the gold-standard iPad music player experience. Based on my criteria, you will not find a better iPad music player than Power Player. Discover Power Player for yourself by using the FREE 14-day trial. Eh
No option to set / change star ratings, but the info screen displays the rating. Widgets don’t update unless you interact with it or the app. The widget also has the app icon over the artwork - annoying.
Solid alternative
I like the simplicity of the UI and the styling of the album and playlist elements. The lyrics pane is a clever implementation too. I would like to be able to perform actions such as like/dislike, changing modifying or hiding Home page sections or changing the style of the background elements.
Fantastic
This is music player is top notch. My favorite part is definitely it's presentation. The amount of adaptive colors that is on display when you view your Now Playing, Album, Playlist, Artist Page and so on, has received so much care and attention, and it shows. Navigations between the different tabs (which are customizable) is extremely smooth and intuitive although more sorting options such as being able to sort by recently added while in the song or album tabs (similar to ios' native music app) would be a nice addition. One feature that is unfortunately a deal breaker for me is the inability too see what is Up Next in your music queue. Having to switch back to the native music app whenever I want to see or edit my queue really doesn't do it for me and I wished it was present in Power Player. I do hope that something of the sort gets implemented into the app in future updates. Overall the app is one of the best out there, the masterful implementation of adaptive colors is unmatched by any other music player out there which will keep me coming back. Edit: I really appreciate the response, thank you for all that you've done on this player!

Great, but I’m a little on the fence
First of all, this is a really great app. It’s clean and functional. It succeeds in ways that I think Apple Music fails. That being said, I have some concerns and suggestions. I instantly noticed how relatively useless the Lyrics page is. I think the app wants me to manually put the lyrics into iTunes, which I’m just not going to take the time to do. I would really like to be able to hide it. However, I’ve also noticed that many other reviews mention this, and the developer has been saying that they will add that functionality. But that was a year ago. This doesn’t inspire confidence that the feature will be added, so for that reason, I’m unsure that I will be proceeding with purchasing the app. The only other thing that I would wish the developer would add is having recently played albums in the home tab. That would really bring everything together for me in terms of that page. Other than that, I do like it quite a bit. I just wish I felt like the developer took user feedback more seriously.
Almost perfect!
As someone who buys his music this is great because no longer do i need to be bombarded with Apple Music prompts. I like the fact the text is also colored. My one small nitpick is some album covers have a color which isn’t shown the same as the album set. Maybe allow us to decide whether to have the circles in the background or go with a more transparent I can not drag the icons and the rest are greyed out 😥
Good alternative
This is a good alternative to the Apple Music app, but I wish I can search the entire Apple Music catalog and add songs to my playlist. That’s the only downside I’ve come across so far.
This update fixes an issue where some users with expired trials were unable to activate the app.
