The melody is missing in all the songs. So you have to know that already, but otherwise I use this versitle app all the time - like when the drummer or bass player doesn't show up for the jam session!

iReal Pro is a great software for practice I'd give it 5 stars. The way to configure the structures is not accurate. what I really feel about is: I think the company has sat down on its success and forgot all about working on a more inteligent tool to the service of musicians (better sound, better drum patterns, the posibility of writing some music notes for us to remember how the song starts). Just two name a few: would be great ireal would read melodies, also capability of at least write a rhythmic pattern to remember formulas, better pattens specially in the popular styles (rock, pop, blues, etc), just including those 3 features ireal would be the leader and best out there... I used to use the notes app to make quick charts, but iReal is so much better, right into the phone interface. Plus tons of charts to download on the forums.

On my desktop I tend to use Band-In-A-Box for practice, writing, jamming, etc... All the Real Bools are available in BIAB format. Yet if you are on a budget and/or on a tablet and on the move - iReal Pro is the best , IMO. Having both is the best of all.

there are so many nuances, and yet the design is simple. i can export midi, wav, charts, or music score. it works on phone and laptop. i set it in infinite mode to repeat a section (forever) that i am having trouble with. can't say enough good things about this brilliant software.
