Description
In Freedrum 2.0 you have the ability to customize your kits how you want. We have upgraded the kit to fit 12 instruments.

The redesigned experience gives you more control to play how you want, anywhere, anytime. You can place the drums and cymbals anywhere in your personal configuration

To use all of the new features you must update your Freedrum sensors to V9 using Sensorware. Search Sensorware in the app store to download or update it if you already have it downloaded. V9 is laying the foundation for more functionality in the future.

You can play with your fingers, but to get the full experience with Freedrum you need to order one of our kits.

Love it! Easy to use.

Like all the config you can do and easier to setup. Improvements: 1. iPhone X notch cutoff. 2. Able to set duplicate drum in different spots

Great new update

The update is what I’ve been waiting for however there seems to be an issue with being able to switch the sensor from stick to foot. It doesn’t allow to scroll down or in check the stick box in the sensor configuration window. But other than that, terrific job on moving forward with this update.

Great Concept... Glitchy performance

While I give this a 2 Star rating, it was not because I hate the product. The concept is incredible. The problem is that it’s just a concept that hasn’t been refined. How to fix this? Well I have some suggestions... 1. Make a tutorial video on how to adjust each sensor and make sure the strikes match perfectly to the set up. 2. Fix the lag. If you want to play the drums out for your fans (or most likely friends to show off), DO NOT USE BLUETOOTH AT ALL. The delay kills the hype of the concept. Bluetooth Speakers would be the best way to showcase this product. Currently, wired connection has the least amount of lag but that’s a bit annoying to deal with (especially with iPhones needing dongles) 3. Provide a variety of sound options on the app to customize the drumming experience. It would make the app more useful to play around. The sounds are relatively basic. It gets boring after a while. Being able to add and remove a drum piece would be wonderful. 4. Make the sensors more reliable. I don’t know how but my sensors were off 20% of the time. Like I said, I want this product to work and be functional. Unfortunately, it’s more of a gimmick 😪

Suddenly stopped working

I love that you guys got your own app so we don’t have to rely on third party apps but I’ve ran into a major issue. So I got Freedrum Christmas 2017 and it worked great! It’s super cool and I really enjoyed it but then around February/March we started the process of moving and I put the sticks in their box in my car and they moved around from house to house (I didn't play them during this time). Then I finally moved into the new house around July and took these bad boys out hoping to finally use them again but they didn’t work :/ the sensors turn on and light up (yellow/white/etc.) for what section they’re supposed to be playing but when I go to hit no sound comes out except for maybe the slightest taps that come trough at random times. I tried to turn them off and on, I checked for updates, re-downloaded the app but nothing seems to work. The only thing I have yet to try is to play through GarageBand but I have my doubts for that working. I just hope there’s a simple fix that I’m missing. I love these things and hope that this can be sorted out. Please help me!

Some issues...

The UI is great, simple and does the job. I do have some issues with the app and the product itself. 1. No option for Heel-Up for the kickdrum. So far I haven’t found any solution on how to use the censor so it responds to a Heel-Up response on the kick, which is a huge bummer considering that’s how I’ve been playing for the last decade. Maybe someone has a solution for this? 2. Each censor/stick has different calibration on where the drums are located. Not to sure if anyone else has had this issue, but my snare drum, toms and all my cymbals would be calibrated in two different areas for each stick. I’ve disconnected and reconnected my sticks and it would be correctly calibrated for a solid 3 minutes, than eventually lose calibration. I’m unsure if this is a hardware or software problem within the app. 3. Sensitivity seems a bit off. My stick would register multiple hits even though it’s a single stroke. I made sure I’m using the correct posture with the censors always facing up, but still seems a bit off. it’s been a bit disappointing to say the least, definitely will change my review if I can find solutions to my problems.

Very well done!

I can get lost in this. I started out with the old Freedrum Sensorware app and Garageband. It was ok but the toms corresponded to right and left sticks and the kit would wander a lot. This new app corrects that and the hi-hat can now open and close with your foot (accurately) along with the bell sound from the ride with a twist of a stick. I have figured out how to get a more crisp kick from the base by turning the foot straps inside out and flipping the sensors. I also zip tied the sensors to the sticks to keep them from turning on the sticks. I played the drums for 9 years as a kid and just now some 15 years later I’m getting back into it and lovin this!!! Also the palm of your hand becomes the bounce you are use to with a regular drum head. Double strokes take some time to get use to. Amazing app! A suggestion would be to add a rim shot with the twist function but keep it coming Freedrum team. I’m really happy with this. Worth every $.

Great app but...

My top Tom does not make any sound what so ever.... I can’t tell what it is, I’ve redownloaded this app multiple times, closed it out, reset my FreeDrum sensors and nothing
