A Collectors Best Friend
Have Been Into Vinyl For A While Now, But I Just Recently Started Getting Back Into Building My Collection Up. Discogs Had Helped Me Keep Track Of The What I Have Currently In My Collection, The “Wants/Needs” To Add To It, And The State Of Vinyls As Far As Demand, Price, And Releases Coming Up. It’s A Great Way To Help Keep My Records Organized More Than Just Physically.
doesn't even work
the app wouldn't even let me sign in to my account that I'd just made 5 minutes before. The website doesn't allow me to log in either and just tells you to retry logging in on the page again.
logs you out far too often.
super annoying to have to log back in pretty much daily it feels like
Constant login issues for months
For most of the last year I’ve been logged out constantly but I was at least able to log back in. Lately I’ve been completely unable to login on the app at all while it works fine on the desktop site the exact same credentials. This is not a new issue at all and I see constant posts sharing the same issues. Please prioritize fixing this core functionality before touching anything else
Weak search function within seller inventory
The Discogs app leaves much to be desired compared to the browser interface, especially in terms of its search options. This applies particularly to searches within a single seller’s inventory: there are only two filtering options, namely “All” or “In My Wantlist,” and there’s no filtering by price, format, genre, style, etc., all of which are options within a seller’s inventory search in the browser interface. Especially with sellers who have massive inventories, it is convenient to be able to do filtered searches not just by keywords, for example when looking for deals to add to an existing order before checkout. Adding more sophisticated search options within a seller’s inventory would improve the app.
Horrible platform
I ordered something from a seller whose images of the item and the listing description were way too confusing for someone new to the platform to use, which caused me to mistakenly think that the listing came with the album art. I hate this platform and will never use it again.
Could it be any worse?
From a buyer perspective i guess its ok. Its pretty easy to find stuff and purchase. Hermally staight forward However from a seller perspective, its a freaking nightmare. Who is the git who came up with the shipping policy fiasco? Why cant you do any of this from the app? Why does alway go to the desktop? After 2.5 years of uploading items from time to time i finally sold something and I barely broke even on the sale after all the “fees” for themselves and paypal which is another nightmare. This isnt some new upstart e-commerce company. Discogs has been around for quite awhile and they are still the most user unfriendly place for sellers
