Just what I was looking for!
Being a piano teacher, I’m always looking for more resources and things I can implement into my teaching. I feel this app will not only broaden my composer knowledge, but my students knowledge as well. Plus, it’s cool knowing what composer was born today, and be able to read a little snippet about them. I love how each composer has an iTunes link so I can familiarize myself with their music and style, and also play a few pieces these composers are well known for to my students. I also wanted to add, I contacted Daniel with a suggestion I had, and he replied within a few hours. Great app and customer service!
Wonderful for Discovering Classical Music
I love the brief summary about the classical composer born on each day and the link to ITunes to sample the music. This app makes it easy for me to hear new composers and be exposed to new classical music everyday. Highly recommend this app for a fun and easy way to access the finest music!
Introducing Composers new and old
I’ve had this app for almost 8 yrs. now and still enjoy opening it two or three times a week to learn about composers, some new to me, and others are old friends. Especially useful is the link to the iTunes Store so that you can browse their recorded works. Because many composers have names with difficult spelling, it is so much easier to press a button, than to remember the exact spelling and to type it exactly right.
Handy reference for this classical DJ
Happy to find this app for my iPhone. Just one more tool to ad-lib from in my classical DJ work. Gave it 4 stars because it does not yet allow you to look ahead of “today”. However, the developer promised me he intends to add that feature soon. Recommended app for introducing kids and anyone to classical music in small doses.. planting a seed. Wish teachers would make a habit of referring to this nice app in their classrooms to foster an appreciation of this genre.
Composer of the Day
I love this app. It introduces the whole family to new music and is easy to use. Thank you so much for making it. Please keep up the great work.😘
Meh
How could you not list Leonard Bernstein's bd August 25 and instead have Stefan Wolpe??? I don't trust you any more.
Great
