This app has been so great. I’ve tried other apps and flash cards but this is 100x better. I’m focused on piano: I wonder if the app could also include chords one day.
United StatesDoes not seem to work with MIDI virtual ports
It seems like a good app, unfortunately it does not work with MIDI data from MidiGuitar 2, nor from MIDI Data from JamSynth , nor from MIDI data from A2M…….in essence it does not seem to recongnize any virtual port ( I also tried to create a bridge with Midiflow but again it does not show up as a MIDI output in Midiflow ). There is certainly a shortcoming in the code because other similar apps such as PianoNotes Pro seem to recognise any MIDI output you throw at it. So if you have an external controller it works ( I used it with a Yamaha Keyboard, an EWI and the Fishman TriplePlay Connect, and it recognises all of them ). I had a couple of mail exchanges with the developer but he took my original review personally and , either he is

It's a pity, it looks like a great app to learn sight reading, unfortunately it does not work with the MIDI data from the Midi Guitar 2 app, so I cannot use it to learn notes from my guitar fretboard. If they fix this shortcoming in a future update I will try it again, in the meantime I am deleting this app.

This app has the best user interface of all the music note trainers I have tried. The training modes are good, and the progression is a good pace for me. I’m focused on piano, so I’m glad the other clefs are available, but not forced on me. I wish the app displayed the treble clef above the base clef when using both. I also wish it kept track of progress from one try to the next so I could see my improvement over time.
