radio not working, please fix that
1.The backup music is functional in alarm but it is not what I am paying for. 2.I have to open the app every night before it alarms in the morning. 3.The biggest problem I have is the radio is accessible in the set up, but is is not accessible in the actual alarm, it just turn on the backup music.
Great app - best of its kind
Two suggestions for the developer: 1. Reduce overhead. Large power drain means that you have to turn off a repeat alarm every morning, and turn it on again every night while the device is recharging. 2. Provide a more direct way to just listen to the radio, i.e., without going through “Settings.”
Don’t waste your time
Bought with high expectations, but it has never worked as intended. I have an iPhone xr. When I run a little test, say 10 minutes out, works fine, but has never worked for repeat alarms for the following mornings. I even deleted app and reloaded to see if that made a difference.
Killing my battery
Ever since I got this app I’m lucky if my battery lasts the whole day. I’m not using the phone very much so I shouldn’t be dealing with less then half a battery by end of work. And when I checked to see what was causing it, this app was top of the list by a large margin. Great idea. Bad execution. Uninstalling.
Not reliable
I have had this for awhile and it was a good app but every time Apple has an update the app stops playing the radio station chosen and the plays the default sound. However with the last Apple update in Jan 2018. The alarm is inoperable. Really disappointed since I upgraded to the pro version. :(
Bulletproof. Native app dependability.
This thing is 100% reliable. Runs persistently in background, wakes me up to NPR every day. Only request... I'd love to be able to add a podcast feed. But hey, it's awesome the way it is!
An alarm clock radio app that actually works
I have at last found an Alarm Clock Radio app that actually works... A week ago on my Facebook page I posted a plea for help. Since I moved, I can no longer use my old analog alarm clock radio, as both AM and FM signals are weak to non-existent in my area. So all I wanted was an alarm clock radio app for my iPhone that would go off at 6am in the morning and switch on an internet radio station. Even though some of my friends are uber-techies, nobody could answer my question (and almost no one replied, anyway.) I must be the only person on earth who actually needs an alarm clock radio on my mobile device. Or I'm the only person who likes to wake up to the radio, but spend five or ten minutes in bed listening before I actually get up. So I had no choice but to figure it out on my own. I have downloaded at least a half-dozen apps that purport to be an alarm clock radio. I have also downloaded at least two radio apps (including iHeart Radio) that have an alarm clock feature. NONE OF THEM WORKED. They either 1) use canned ringtones for the alarm instead of turning on a live radio station, or 2) your phone or pad screen must remain unlocked all night long, which means it's lit up like Christmas and sucking power out of the battery. If the phone goes into any sort of sleep mode, you're sunk: the alarm won't go off as scheduled. One of them simply sends a notification to the phone, and if you're lucky, your sound setting for notifications is set to ping! Which means, that tiny ping! is your "alarm." You then have to get up, go find the phone, swipe the screen, and only then will the radio station you selected actually turn on. This defines the word "daft." Anyway, the bedr Pro app was my final try. There are no reviews, no ratings, the description of the functionality wasn't promising, and the icon artwork looks very homemade. But guess what? It worked this morning -- like a dream. At precisely 6:00, it awoke the phone and switched on KUSC Classical from Los Angeles. And the actual station, not a canned ringtone from the station, and it stayed on as long as I wanted it to. (You can also choose almost any station you want, or find one that suits your tastes.) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
