COMMIT TO FREENESS!
To the BRAINDEAD executives at BBC Sounds who put a stop to FREENESS, YOU are clueless and need to get out of the media business all together! FREENESS is the only content on your site worth paying for! The rest is a waste of time, below mediocre at best!!!
Big idea.
Practical and inclusive. I like it. Cheers
Enjoying BBC Sounds
I am really having a (BALL!) listening to the BBC Sounds App. I just finished listening to today’s edition of the (“Radio 1 Breakfast Show”). This past Monday and Thursday, I listened to the “Zoe Ball Breakfast Show” on Radio 2 and it made my mornings on both Monday and Thursday. I also enjoy listening to Radio 3.
No Apple Watch app
I really enjoy listening to dance anthems on my runs- and there isn’t a watch app that allows it😭
BBC sounds
Great Production Quality program across the options Thank you!
Please make some changes
The Sounds app is a real mess. Please please make some changes to enhance user experience: Please make changes to these features: Continue Listening - this is very random and inconsistent; sometimes only 2 programmes are listed, sometimes up to 6. And usually the ones that remain longest on this list are the programmes I’ve switched off because I wasn’t enjoying them. But I can’t edit the list to lose the ones I don’t want to keep, so these terrible programmes sit, taking up room in what could be a handy list, when I’d really like them to disappear. This has the potential to be a handy feature, but not as it stands, because it gets clogged up with items I’m no longer interested in, never holds on to the ones I paused to come back to (Sod’s law) and I can’t edit the list to make this change. An easy amendment would make this so much better! Bookmarks - another good feature. But is it possible to Unbookmark something when you’ve listened? ‘Drama’ is arranged very strangely and not in a user-friendly way. If you search Drama (eg to look for the 45 min Drama), the list is both uninformative and unwieldy. This is because every episode of each play is listed out, rather than the first episode (with other episodes being available from that). So you have to trawl through an extensive, repetitive list. Also, are these listed as most recent? Most popular? Alphabetical? Because in the 15 min drama, you just never seem to get beyond Tinsel Girl in the list. And this never seems to change. Could there again be an edit button to rearrange the list according to options? So you can search alphabetically or for the most recent, etc? Again, another potential for real user experience enhancement. I hate the Featured items. I’ve never seen anything there to interest me, and I’d like that to go so it’s easier for me to get to what I am interested in. The Recommended For You section is quite enough in terms of suggestion. And to be fair, the recommendations are usually good reflections of things I enjoy listening to. Thank you thank you for providing an opportunity for feedback. I use this app daily (under sufferance, Radio iPlayer was far better) and there are many ways that this could be significantly improved for users. Please, please take these points on board. I know my irritations are not unique! I hope if these ideas are helpful and feasible, they would considerably enhance the features you offer.
Small bug fixes and improvements. Thank you for your feedback.
