Great idea, doesn’t work
Chord recognition is not great, unless you are sticking to just basic triads and even then it will go with whatever is in the bass so inversions get weird. Worst part is it will only play out of the phone or tablet speakers - making the app totally useless if you’re actually making music and connected to a DAW or interface.
Awesome
This is great for practicing guitar. You can even sing the bass line and most of the times the app recognizes the correct progression. I can easily make backtracks and connect the phone to my amp and play over it. I used to own a Digitech Trio that did about the same thing, maybe with better tones, but it was a 300 bucks pedal. Also, the app seems to be easier to use and easier to “learn “. The only thing, sometimes I need to restart my iPhone because No sounds can be heard, although the app appears to be running.
Great app for home practice!
I was looking at possibly buying the much heralded Digitech Trio + but when I found this little gem referenced in a forum, I went for it with a little bit of skepticism. I am glad I went for the full version because it works great for working out song ideas alongside a looper app with Audiobus. I’m using it with Quantiloop and Audiobus on the iPad Pro and let me tell you it is great. Strum your favorite chord progressions and it comes back with a great match in different genres. Initially, the bass was coming in too hot but it was easily remedied by adjusting the master control along with controls that level the bass and drums. I know that I’ll probably want to invest in something like Band in the Box in the future, but this intuitive app definitely bridges the gap at a reasonable price. Sacrifice your daily coffee at Starbucks and get this app. I hope the developer adds Bluetooth midi connectivity so I can use my irig blueboard and also allow options for exporting to the cloud as wav, aiff or mp3 for use with other apps. So far, this app has huge potential, please keep updating it!
Nice idea but app needs work
I wanted to like this app but I found it to be less than useful compared to things I can do better with other apps as well as had some technical glitches. The main thing I was interested in was to record electric guitar via Audiobus but when I played back the analyzed recording, the app's bass guitar had a very audible popping distortion. Also, the timing was never right when playing back the recorded tracks. In summary, I really like the idea of this app but it needs a lot of work to bring it to a level to compete with other apps. Ultimately, I found I could be much more productive recording with GarageBand, among many other recording apps.
Fun
Fun, but pay attention to when you stop it will change the loop
Update
I made a mistake in my review. It works great. I'm very impressed but can you route the backing audio to the digital output.
Pretty good
Does a great job. Only outputs from headphone jack though.
* Performance improvements * Fixed overwriting sequence with track no 1 (issue was happening when user was removing track from the sequence) * UI compatibility adjustments
