Good but needs improvements
I seem to have a lot of issues with the app itself timing itself out and then when you try to pick an encounter to take a picture on it doesn’t work you just get a flash screen unless you close the app and re-open it you can’t continue. I also have an issue with the photos getting stuck on the upload screen. There’s a spinning wheel and a retry upload button but it doesn’t seem to work unless you wait a good while I wish the app would follow the device lock timeout which we currently have set to 10 minutes there’s a lot of logging in and out for the providers to take photos.
Too soon to tell
Just got the bugs worked out today on how to start using it. The confirmation email was not showing up in my email but then we discovered at a system level that each providers email I had to be entered into the administrative section at allScripts.
Won’t work
Tried getting this app to work. I never received the confirmation email, and the app won’t let me log in using my Allscripts credentials.
Does what it needs to
Has been updated to now work on phones in addition to tablets. I use this daily to update patient picture in the banner as well as pictures of skin finding. Just today was able to quickly document the healing of a burn. I am able to attach to encounters now as well as insert into the physical exam. Much better than when it first came out!
Only works on a tablet
This application allows you to attach a photo to an encounter. There’s no way to attach the photo inside a note, or attach it to a patient’s chart without having an encounter open. Currently we are having to create appointments if we want to use this application. For the more it is not usable on the phone, so every single person is forced to use an iPad. It’s easier to take a picture on an iPhone and send the image to a dropbox, or encrypted email system. From there you could use input manager and upload the Photos as scan documents or chart attachments. We’ve been waiting for a feature to upgrade to pro mobile for three years and this is what we’ve got.
