United StatesTransitioning from Scripps to UCSD Health
After Scripps stopped accepting HMOs 32,000 patients had to transition to another health provider. I was one of them and my health care is a bit complex. I have a great PCP who treated me and also referred me to the necessary specialist. The UCSD Health staff and doctors are amazing. There is also a facility in Rancho Bernardo which is a few miles from my house. Most of the specialists I need are in La Jolla, but that is not a significant travel issue for me. Accordingly the transition has been very easy.
