Easy to review safety information in a two page summary. This application displays International Chemical Safety Cards [ICSC] produced by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the International Labour Office (ILO), and the World Health Organization (WHO). ICSCs summarize essential health and safety information on chemicals for their use at the "shop floor" level by workers and employers in factories, agriculture, construction and other work places. An ICSC is very similar to an Material Safety Data Sheet [MSDS], a standard reference document from the manufacturer for chemical information and is required, for safety purposes, to be kept in any place where workers face possible exposure to those chemicals. While an MSDS has many positives such as being very thorough and manufacturer specific, there are drawbacks : they can be very lengthy (the MSDS for water is 5 pages long), they have no standard format and may be technically very complex and too extensive for non-management use. ICSCs, on the other hand, set out peer-reviewed information about substances in a more concise, standard and simple manner on 1 or 2 page documents that is always the same format. Use the information in this app to augment occupational health and safety when working with the applicable chemicals as an adjunct to MSDS or when MSDS are unavailable. For more NIOSH information, including respirator recommendations, physcial properties and hygenie information, please see our NIOSH Chemical Hazards Pocket Guide [NPG]. All information in the NPG app is viewable in a native, easily viewed format designed for the iPhone/iPodTouch. Features: * Fully indexed and searchable chemical list by Name, CAS# or RTECS# * Saved history of previously viewed chemicals * Mark and View Favorites * Filters for Oilfield, Construction, EPA, OSHA Chemicals * Email and Airprint** capability * No Internet connection required ** Printing support requires iOS 4.2 or later and an airprint compatible printer or a properly setup shared network printer - see http://www.thatsmystapler.com/airprint for information and links about enabling airprint functionality for your network's printer(s).
Highly Useful for Field Work
As a commercial building inspector I have used this app when paper safety data sheets weren’t available onsite. Clients have been amazed when I have emailed them the appropriate SDS while still at their location. Don’t know how many different SDS’s the app contains but it must be in the thousands.

This helpful, thanks a lot.
Unable to print
Good information, print function does not work.
ONE thing separates this app from being 5 stars and 1....
The lack of the (literally) most commonly purchased and used pesticide GLOBALLY - by both homeowner-consumers & Licensed Pest Control Operators/Companies... If you downloaded this app, you probably already know the answer here. Bifenthrin! I’ve searched many things in this app and it has it all, or so it seemed. When I realized that Bifenthrin wasn’t in the app, my viewpoint totally changed. I’m a licensed operator. I have to carry around a huge book full of safety data sheets in case of emergency. It’s EPA law (in Florida, at least) that each PCO’s vehicle contains a book holding SDSs for any and every chemical product in/on their rig. I figured this app would be a convenient loophole to save space in vehicles but more importantly - a faster way to access the information needed in the *very rare* case of an actual chemical emergency. What are you guys doing here?... making an app as thorough as this one seems to be - not including the most implemented product worldwide.. update this and I give you 5 stars! Otherwise I’m finding a new app.
Bifenthrin... Not here? The most used chemical!
I loved this app. I searched for every chemical product my company uses and carries. Then I got to bifenthrin... it’s not in the app! I AM TALKING ABOUT THE MOST USED CHEMICAL IN THE WORLD HERE.
Very Nice
The information that you need and it is free. I would pay for this app
