AudioNotch is a mobile app that allows you to create and listen to Notched Sound Therapy that has been customized for your particular tinnitus frequency. Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the absence of any external environmental sound. It affects millions of people worldwide, and usually presents as a persistent ringing in the ears. (4) Notched Sound Therapy is a tinnitus treatment that can lower the volume of your tinnitus tone. It is created by taking either music or "white noise" and removing the sound energy—"notching it out"—at the same frequency of your tinnitus tone. (2) In some experiments, tinnitus volume was reduced by 75%, 26%, and 20%, respectively. (1,2,3) FEATURES INCLUDE: - The ability to match your tinnitus frequency using our tinnitus tuner (free, does not require an account) - The ability to create Notched Sound Therapy customized for your particular tinnitus frequency (requires paid account)* - The ability to listen to Notched Sound Therapy (requires paid account) *Notched White Noise and Notched Natural sounds can be created directly in the mobile app. However, creating Notched Music requires the usage of our companion web application on a computer (access to this is also provided after In-App Purchase of a paid account). Notched Music created via a computer can be listened to on the mobile app. In order to learn more about the science behind AudioNotch and how it works, read our comprehensive F.A.Q. at https://www.audionotch.com/faq REFERENCES: 1) Lugli M, Romani R, Ponzi S, Bacciu S, Parmigiani S (2009) The windowed sound therapy: a new empirical approach for an effective personalized treatment of tinnitus. Garbage
This app is misleading in saying its free. People who download this app are already suffering. You then need to say this free and screw with those already suffering?? Yes, in some tiny print it does explain the charges, however the App Store lists it as free. That makes you pretty horrible in my book. Screw you.
Doesn’t work. Don’t pay.
This app is a rip off. I paid for the 2 month trial and when I went to “create therapy” and create the notched sounds, it crashed. And no response to support emails. Don’t give these scam artists any money!
FIX The navigation please
This app could be good but it is half baked. There should be a free trial. I’m pretty sure I already paid and it keeps prompting me to pay again, when I emailed support - no answer. In the iphone app, the navigation disappears on some pages and then I have to close the app to get out. With a little more work this could be awesome and for those suffering, it does offer relief. But fix the bugs.
App will not let me login, so it’s useless.
I want my money back
Doesn’t work. No help
This app does NOT work. I cannot adjust the volumn. I cannot adjust the pitch. It is useless. It worked great about 1 1/2 years ago so I bought a (very expensive) year subscription. Since then I can’t get the app to do anything. I get no help when I contact the developer. DO NOT BUY!
In app purchases or it doesn’t work
Promising, but frustrated to find I have to buy months of access to see if it even works.
Paid but no Service
Paid the 2 month service fee over a week ago but the App says I haven’t paid up. PayPal shows that I paid. Sent a couple emails asking the App what’s happening but no one has responded. Can’t tell what’s going on. Seems as if customer service needs some work.
